What is mapsource?

Software that can be used for a couple of major things, first if your Nuvi supports routes you can create the routes on your computer using Mapsource and then download them to your GPS. Your Nuvi 750 does support routes so this might be of interest. Next it can be used for locating your own POI's, locate where it is on Mapsource and download it to your GPS. For most people Mapsource isn't that productive any longer because their GPS's already can do what the software does. Where it can be useful is if your planning a trip and want to visit many places along the way, you can create the trip in MS and then download it. So it depends on how you plan on using your Nuvi.

Last Mapsource is a Windows application, if you happen to use a Mac Garmin has a new product called RoadTrip that does the same thing.

Mapsource is also a great place to keep old routes and waypoints for re use in the future.

I have a Nuvi 350, can I use mapsource on this unit?

But the 350 dont support routes, it will do ok with waypoints, there is several topics on using mapsource, just do a search (at the top of the page) and read thru them.

I had mapsource installed and I had additional maps for the Philippines. When I wpdated Mapsource it did not reconize the Philippine Maps and Crashed.
