Hello,
Does anyone know how to do a hard reset on a nuvi 350
I have tried the little button under the antena and I have tried pre booting,rebooting and know I am thinking about giving it the boot

I down loaded the low clearance poi's and all was well. I then tried to put the little yellow bmp.on my 350 thats when my problems begain. My maps will not load and my pc dosn't no that my nuvi is pluged into it. I have tried to reset the thing with no luck. Anyone have any ideas?

Could anyone please advise what I need to do to get my map unlocked.
I have a nuvi 660 and have two maps that I use Australia and New Zealand. The Australian map is the default installed map and I use the NZ map on an SD card.
I have received updates for both maps – The NZ map I used “Map Source” to load onto the SD Card – No problems I can load Way points etc.

I see that the current version of the poi loader for windows has a removal feature. In the version that I have for the Mac,it doesn't seem to have the removal feature. Throwing out the poi.gpi folder in the garmin icon on the desktop doesn't remove any files from my gps. So anyone know how to remove custom pois from the nuvi 200 on a mac?

What uses do you folks have for a cookie or bread crumb trail to see where you've been? I test drove a Nuvi 760 for a few days with that feature and I personally don't have a "use" for it. I am a commercial driver, no routes, I drive 12 hours a day minimum to new 10-12 new addresses each day and i still didn't see where that feature would benefit me.

I currently own two Garmin bean bag mounts. Purchased one for my old GPS V. Another came with a 2610. Now I own a Nuvi 760. I almost can't stand the thought of having to purchase an entirely new bean bag mount when all I need is the plastic adapter. Of course Garmin support is no help.

Anyone have a beam bag mount that they don't need the plastic adapter? Let me know...

i was using my nuvi 360 in my car w/o the unit plugged into the 12v outlet. after about 3-4 hours the unit suddenly shut off w/o warning. i figured maybe the battery died but it should have given me a low battery warning. i plugged the unit into the 12v cigarette lighter but the unit struggled to turn on. it would turn back on for about 10 seconds then shut off.

I have a Garmin Map Update 2008 that has not been installed. I no longer have the GPS that it was going to be installed on. If I load this update to a computer now,(can it even install without a GPS attached?) will I later be able to update an older Garmin 330 or some other Garmin?

I recently recieved a Garmin c330. It's basic but all I need. The only downfall is trip planning. I'm used to using Microsoft Streets and laying out a complete trip. Is the Garmin Waypoint mangager in any way smiliar to this? I'm just looking for something that I can enter waypoints and plot out a trip.

OK I admit I got too techie for my pay rate! The other day I was reading the Posts and found out how to get into the Dianostics in my Novi 660. I was just curious. Today I noticed that both the time and date on my Novi is way off. I guess I pushed something my mistake. How can I correct the time and date?

I remember someone asking how to restore the default pointer. The consensus was that you had to do a reset.

I figured out how to restore the vehicle pointer to the built in one (not the downloadable one).

I have decided to purchase either the Nuvi 660, or the Nuvi 760, just about ready to make the final jump. One of my concerns is it will be used 95% of the time in my daily driver.

Does anyone know the voltage output of the Nuvi 650 ac wall charger? I just bought a Nuvi650 costco special and was wondering if my old C340 ac charger (5 volts/1 amp) output would work?

Is there any place to report mapping errors or missing street info?

My brother in law just received an early Christmas present of a Nuvi 650. I helped him get up to speed with it. We put his home into the device and had it calculate a route from my parents.

Does anybody know what different things the different vehicle types avoids? Or what they change in genreal?

I noticed (to my dismay) that if you have the mp3 player going, your alerts will only show on the screen but not play the alert file. Not only that, but it also will either start your mp3 file playing from the beginning again or jump to the next mp3 file.
My mp3 book started over 6 times driving through Ventura, CA. Any ides?

I thought I had this figured out and have had much success but I am still stuck.

I have found many custom POI on a couple of different sites. I created category folders such as Fuel, Food, Shopping, etc. I placed each downloaded poi file into a category. Then I placed all these folders into a single folder I labeled CUSTOMPOI.

Has anyone had good success with bluetooth and the Nuvi 7xx series?
I get my Blackberry Pearl paired and it even shows my contact list, last dialed phone number, etc but I keep getting a frequent message saying phone disconnected. It is very annoying and my phone is just within a couple feet of the Nuvi.
