I've been surprising myself by how easy it is to make personal POI's using the Extra_POI_Editor. However, I have a question. I put an alert signal of 50 or 75 meters on a residendual address and the Garmin never beeps unless I have that particular address programmed as the destination. I thought it was supposed to beep when we drove by enroute to another destination. I'm using a Nuvi 260.

A few days ago I bought the one time update from garmin to update my original 350(i was tired of the outdate maps alert) After downloading and installing(a time consuming process) it installed version 2009.11 and version 6.0 on my 350 and 2009.11 on my comuter garmin map.Great.

Hello everyone! I bought my first Nuvi (885T) last week and I love it. I have one question. some of the POI's stay on the map even when I have disabled them or am I missing something? I thought u could disable all POI's?

I have the newest updates loaded.

just got a new Nuvi 205w and was wondering

How do I determine if I have the newest maps available?

if I don't I will be getting a hold of Garmin to see If I can get the newest version.

A friend of mine is looking at the Garmin 885 and the 785. Looks like the only difference is the 785 has 3D buildings and the 885 doesn't. The 885 has everything else plus voice command. Which would you recommend?

I still like my 760. It does everything I need it to do and I bought the MSN package. Of course, the XX5 have the upgraded MSN (more gadgets!).

My 770 and my Motorola Razer work well together over Bluetooth with one exception: Calling Home.

I'm looking at getting a new nuvi, does anyone know witch units come with Traffic included, a 4.3 inch screen, and the new UI that shows he next turn at the top left. I know the most expensive newest ones have those and more, but I'm on a budget.

I am replacing my 760 with lifetime traffic(that I bought separately)and saw the 205W, but I want traffic included.

I have a 265wt. I recently installed the Red Light camera Poi's. Afterwards it would notify me when I approached an intersection in my area that had a RLC. This no longer happens. I reinstalled the file, but still no notification. I check and I have POI enabled. Any ideas on what else it could be?

I've been looking at a couple of diffrent models, the 760 and the 755t. And even though I don't travel all that much, I was still going to get the 755t because of the "lane assist" and because it has Hotfix. But after reading some of your posts, it appears that some of you think hotfix is more hype then help. Let me ask you this..

I followed the thread on the Security Lock and don't quite understand it. OK, I put in a security lock on a secrete place and not in front of my house for obvious reasons. This is where I'm lost. How does that work now. Every time I drive by this place the unit unlocks and when I leave it locks again? Do I have to put this code in every time I turn on the unit in front of my house?

I have a Garmin Nuvi 750. The turn by turn voice has stopped working. I have tried to reset the unit and updated the operating software, but the turn by turn voice still does not work... any suggestions?

I was looking over the vehicles on Garmin site and noticed a few new ones. At least they were new to me!

I have bought a SD card with City Navigator for Australia to load or access through my nuv1 250W- which has the European maps preloaded. How can I access the Oz maps? I am travelling to Oz next week!

I bit the bullet and upgraded the unit. (v4.70)
Everything is ok so far...

The reason I upgraded was based on the traffic reciever update. It claimed to add another traffic provider.
I already have TNN. And that works fine.
But I see no additional info on what I 'thought' would have included navteq traffic.
Of course I'm using the GTM20
