Garmin 755T Reception

My Garmin 755T has very bad reception indoors compared to a friends 350. Can I hook up a small piece of antenna cable somehow to that female threaded antenna connector? I was hoping for just a 1-1.5 foot piece round wire with a male insert (whatever size it is) that maybe would improve my reception indoors just enough to acquire satellites. Any help would be appreciated.

All the antennas shown from Google search are long (like 20ft) with a receiver on the end. Was hoping just the piece of wire with a connector would be enough.

Anyone??

Thanks

Too Bad

That seems like a little overkill. Why would a 350 work in the same location, yet its antenna isn't three foot longer?

P.S. Thanks for the link!!
