nuvi Memory Card - Which one ?

I wanted to get an 8GB memory card for a nuvi 780, a nuvi 765t, and a StreetPilot 7500.

Do they use an ordinary "SD" card?

Can they use a Sandisk 8GB SDHC (High Capacity) ?

The 780 and 765t will take any size SD card according to Garmin. I have a Sandisk 4GB SDHC and it works fine in my 750. Others have used as much as 16GB cards and report no problems. I am not familiar with the Streetpilot, so I will not comment. Suggest you get the SD's you want for the nuvi's and then try them in the Streetpilot.

Some users indicate that the larger SD cards may slow down the unit as it has a much larger memory to search.

I've heard that the newest SD Ultra cards may not be compatible, but I do not know as a fact.

Nuvi 760

My nuvi 760 works fine with the 8GB SDHC micro SD. I do have to use the adapter with it though.

I just ordered a couple of the 8GB SDHC cards.
