If you have the previous GarminPNGBldr, just download GarminSRFBldr_exe.zip and replace the GarminPNGBldr.exe you have with the GarminSRFBldr.exe...

I am thinking of upgrading my garmin 750 to a garmin 265wt. Does anyone want to share your like/dislike for the 265wt?

It will help me make up my mind.

I was looking at the Garmin Nuvi 885T being shown in demo mode and watched it select pre-loaded POI's by voice recognition. However, will the voice recognition work with custom POI's that are downloaded to the SD Card. Just wondered how you would get the the Custom POI directory instead of the Pre-loaded directory.

I was reading about the Garmin Oregon 500 Series With Built In Camera. I only have a Garmin StreetPilot 2730 and Garmin Mobile XT on a Pharos GPS Phone 600, but this could prove to be an interesting feature depending on the camera quality and how well this works.

I just bought a new Vista Hcx to replace my old Vista. I have a data cable with a RS232 serial port But do not have a computer with one. I was wondering if there is anyone in the Seattle area with the ability to download data from an old Etrex vista unit? I could do it manually but the toggle switch on the front doesn't always work.

I downloaded my one time free map update from garmin for a nuvi 205w.

was wondering if it is possible to also put those maps on my nuvi 200w?

I mapped out a route point A to point B and then dragged a small part of the route to avoid several streets. Sent it to my 750, imported the file but when I look at the route, the changes are not there. Tried it several times but it is always the original route.

Just got the 885 T. I like it a lot more than the other two I've had. There are a few complaints though. First, there's no Manual for this Model !! There is an "800 series" Manual that isn't at all accurate for the 885 T. When I tried to register it, the response was Serial Number already used !! What's with that ??

I have a Nuvi 755T and yesterday downloaded the 2009.11 map upgrade. There must have been something wrong with the install as it kept installing over and over. during one of the installs i turned on the Nuvi and was trying to look at the maps. The map wouldn't scroll and kept moving back to home.

I am new to the GPS world, so sorry for being such a newb. I have read a lot of discussions around the custom POI topic. I have been able to get some custom POIs to work on my 260w, in that I have received the "ding" and "pop up", telling me there is a Starbucks about 300 ft away, and only on the route/street I am on (saw it before the GPS).

On the satellite page on the base of the bars indicating signal strength, I often see what looks like a "D". Can't figure out what it tries to tell me!

You would think as big as MSN is they would keep their
information upto date.To much of a delay on doplar weather and traffic which is a big one...

Whenever I bring my unit indoors to listen to my MP3's I get a "cannot find satellites" message after a few minutes.

The unit asks me if I want to go to the GPS simulator.

I always say yes just to get rid of this warning.

When I put the unit back into the car and go to use it--- all I get is "drawing maps" on my screen for about 5 minutes.

Hi folks.... I've only been a Nuvi user for a few weeks, and ran across a cool way (IMO) for identifying hiking trails on a "road" GPS. I didn't find reference to this on the message board, so forgive me if it's well known.

My wife and I enjoy hiking, and wanted to be able to use the Nuvi 780 to give us some guidance when we are on trails.

Does anyone know why Garmin refuses to provide a coiled power cord as an accessory to replace the current unsightly cord? By unsightly I mean that I've had to bundle the excess cord into loops tied with a plastic tie. Looks awful.

I just created a route on Mapsource, named it, saved it to my laptop, then uploaded it to my nuvi 260. I'm trying to find the route when I fire up my GPS. Where is it?

Yesterday on a road trip i must have been abducted by aliens along with the GPS , i clicked to view the dashboard view and notice my new max speed was 151 Mph.
i didnt notice a loss of time from my memory so they must have been really good and the old van i was driving does good to make it to 60 much less 151.
anyone have similar expierence or any explinations ?

I have a Garmin 765T and love it. I did purchase the MSN traffic receiver and like the gas prices, etc.

However, sometimes when I navigate through many of the menus and want to just go back to my MAP screen or the main screen, I have to press the Back Button several times - annoying! Is there any way to go to main screen without pressing BACK several times?

My computer crashed and had all of my POI files lost. I thought i had backed them up,but i cant find them. Is there anyway to get them off of the unit so i can add more without losing the ones i have ? Thanks
