I've downloaded these files and am curious if I have to do anything else. Will I automatically get a sound notification as I near one of these or do I have to set something on my Garmin? Thanks.

1--By downloading the new POI's off this site,will it blend into the present download of the above program?

I've got an 780 now. Had it a week or so. Like it a lot, but miss some features of the old GPS.

So... I am going to get the 885T and give the 780 to my wife.

I see that some features are not on the 885T but don't really see me missing them. 3d Buildings ?? No ecoroute... Neither mean much to me.

I have added some POI's to my Garmin 255W. I am now wondering will any alerts that I have in the POI's work in map mode of the GPS or will they only work when I have a route programmed and running.

ok i wanted to plug my fiend's addresses to my 765t, iw as in my room, turned the switch.. saw the 'garmin' logo.. 4 seconds of my custom wallpaper.. and BLANK.

ive plugged it into my wall.. and even onto my usb on my computer.. why the hell isnt this thing turning on??

no nothing appears on the screen. no sound from my pc indicating a new device is plugged in.

Are there any hints or tricks or special things on a 250W?

I have downloaded the POI for Sam's Club/Wal-Mart super centers, but cannot call it up on the Garmin Nuvi 750. Where is it?!!!! It will show me Sam's Clubs that are 85 miles away. There are two near me - each about 10 miles away. Where do I find it on my Garmin? Please help!

HI, I have created a list of waypoints in Mapsource for our upcoming Route 66 trip. How do I load these so they show up on the map screen in my NUVI 750?

Rockville Adds Four Fixed-Camera Locations to Speed Program

ROCKVILLE, Md., June 2, 2009-Rockville City Police completed installation on June 1 of four new fixed-camera locations to its Speed Camera Program and will begin issuing tickets to violators of the posted speed on Friday, June 19.

I've used the 755t a couple of times now on trips between NYC and Boston and am impressed with the traffic status indication. Pretty much every route I've taken has been covered, Rt. 95, Hutchinson River Pkwy, Merritt Pkwy, Rt. 395, Rt. 295 all have been in the coverage zone. At most, the indicator has been yellow and matched what I was seeing.

I have a Garmin 765T. Starting about 2 weeks ago when I plug the GPS into my PC Autoplay keeps popping up. over and over again. Not just once like it used to. Any ideas of how to turn this off or why it was turned on to start with? TIA

I have nuvi 785T and nuvi 765T that tries to access my Sony Ericsson W810i cell phone.

When it access the phone it asks if OK to use as a modem?? and I accept and then it asks to access as a phone and I accept again.

It then tries to syncronize the contact list and that never stops until I eventually cancel the process.

Sometime in the near future I am planning on upgrading to the Nuvi 755t. Ideally, I would like to be able to plan routes on my computer and load them onto the Nuvi 755t. Is MapSource compatible with that model?

can i put voice alerts in my kenwood g510. i have tried doing this, i created a folder on my desktop and named it
garmin.
I see the way points, (the date base for red light cams and speed traps) in there, do I have to make another folder inside

When I'm on the highway my unit estimates the arrival time correctly, but when in the city the arrival time is typically 5 minutes before when I actually arrive. Is this a known issue?

Is there a list of state by state POI's that can be DL or just the compleat USA listings??

Thanks to everyone's help I am now downloading and using POIs. Now I'm trying to figure out how to use sounds.
Is there a link somewhere which provides the "how to" for sounds?

Couple of questions:

I have a 255W.

This last weekend my wife and I went up to Northern Wisconsin from Chicago for a long weekend get away. I was using our 6-month old Garmin 765T as the navigation device to get us up there, planning to spend some time in Milwaukee and then head North to do some sightseeing and fishing, then stopping in several small towns on the way back.
