MP3 Problem with POI's

I have searched all the faq's for an answer but no luck.

Do you have to have the mp3 player in the nuvi 750 on with the FM transmitter and car radio in order to hear
alerts?????

My Nuvi merely gives me 2 bong noises for alerts.

Alerts

Did you rename the alert the same name as the poi (except for the ext), put it in the same directory as the poi, and load with poi-loader?
Also if you use the mp3 player, when an alert sounds it will either go to the next song or restart the same one. A workaround for this is to change the alert from .mp3 to a .wav file.
