Garmin 265T - Traffic receiver problems

Last couple days my traffic seems to take for ever to load. I have even had a message come up twice that I needed an update or something of that nature. I know that it is still providing electric power to charge the unit but the Traffic part seems to be messing up.

I have checked online and there are no updates for my device.

Can anyone help me with this? Is there something I can reload of make this thing redo its firmware or something?

I will be heading out of town and will be in NYC for the next 20 days.

TY

Web updater found an update for the GTM 25

I recently bought a nuvi 265wt and web updater found a firmware update for the GTM 25 receiver. Don't remember exactly what the changes were but the Web Updater downloaded a file to the 265 which updated the adapter the next time I plugged it in.

I remember it doing that

I remember it doing that when I bout it but this error is a resent error and I have had this for a few months now.

TY

if anyone knows what I could do I would like the help. I am leaving tomorrow for NYC

You could set the unit back

You could set the unit back to its orginial settings by holding your finger on the bottom right of gps screen while turning the unit on.Keep finger pressed until pop up windows appears.Touch yes to clear all user data.Note you will lose your favorites and any other data you saved. You could send your favorites to mapsource before re-setting then put them back later.I would then run webupdater to make sure you have all the latest updates.

Settings vs S/W

It is my understanding that this procedure resets the original "settings", but does NOT roll the software back to the original s/w.

Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.

I have tried that but did

I have tried that but did not work. I guess I will have to send Garmin an email to see what I can do but will have to wait till I get back from NY

TY for the help
