Garmin talk

I am trying to download some favorites from one garmin to another. I know how to do it with POI's, but can not see them in the garmin on the computer. They are there in the 350, but when I go to the gpx file,the file is empty. Also was looking to do the same with the Recent Selections. Can anyone help?

Hello everyone, let me give you the scenario before the question. I plan on using my Garmin on my motorcycle. Often, I will already know the route I am taking and will have it on to monitor speed, find nearest Gas Stations or food, etc.

So, my NUVIfone M20 finally arrived. A friend was traveling in Singhapore and brought one back for me. I thought I would post first impressions on the phone/GPS.

Some quick notes...
- It's TINY, and very light. It is smaller than a Nokia E71.
- It is very blue, kind of a turquoise look. Actually pretty cool.

I just received my nuvi 265wt worked great out of the box on Thursday. Registered it online at mygarmin.com and it updated software, except now my traffic is gone!! I bought this one for the free traffic, searched all over garmin’s web site and found nothing.

What can I do, it was a surprise for my wife today and it's already jacked up...

Hello everybody. How many of you are in favor of trying to start a petition for Garmin to try and get the custom maps in a nuvi?
The custom maps look awsome but not too many people have a Oregon Dakota or a Colorado. I think Garmin would listen to the people

Used the heck out of our 660 with latest maps in Ft Myers, FLA this past week...
Only had one gotcha... GPS told us to do a left turn to our Condo Rental immediately after returning from the Causway From Sanibel Island. No, Don't do that! There is a concrete wall there! (Could have been a recent addition).

Last night when I got home, I left my 750 in the car and did not turn it off. My wife used the car this morning to run some errands. She called later and asked what she should do with the gps I left in the car. I told her to just drop it into the center console and close the lid. She picked me up a few hours later for a trip to the movies.

I use my 360 on long hauls in my RV with great results, but have one annoying problem.

My be in my settings but cannot see where.

Say I am going across New Mexico on I-40 east from state line and my destination is Amarillo TX. I set in Amarillo and do a goto. I want the data to show when I will arrive in Amarillo.

Can you use POI files with a Garmin 7200?

Do gmapprom.img work on NUVI 205 and also the Street Pilot C320 ?

Is it true, that I only need to copy the file into the root of the MicroSD card (NUVI205) or into the root of the SD Card (StreetPilot C320) ?

How do I Replace gpx file on garmin nuvi? Replaced Current?

Anyone else notice with 2010.40 it recalculates for no reason? I am driving down the interstate and I get a recalculating. This has happened several times.

I just bought a replacement battery from batteryship.com for my 660. if you need a new battery they shipped a quality product and the tools I needed to replace the battery for under $20. i recommend you look at them if you need a battery.

I have downloaded the redlight-camera poi, used the Garmin POI loader program to install it on my Nuvi 750. It shows as being there when I go to 'Extras, Custom POI's as a gpi file. It does not alert me when I approch a red-light camera (I know they are there). I was using Garmin's redlight download and it worked.

Is there a way not to have the download of maps 2010 from garmin downloaded for each nuvi? The download time is at least 2 hours and who wants to spend their life waiting for downloads. We have the file of 2.02g and have other life time cards, but would like to not have to down load the map for each nuvi
