Question about Nuvi 200

On the Nuvi 200 are there any operational benefits to installing a small one state map in gmapprom verses the full NA City Navigator map.
Will the GPS acquire a signal or calculate a route faster.

Can I change the default simulation speed of 11 mph increasing it to say 45 mph??

Thanks, Jack.

Limiting the size of the map will not help the unit acquire satellites faster. There was an update issued several months ago to improve satellite capture speed. Use Web Updater and check for additional updates.

Sorry, the sim speed is what it is. Actually it runs about 3 to 5 mph above the speed limit for that section of road.

Simulation

To add one thing like a_user stated it is like it is but you can trick the unit by touching View map screen.Hold finger on screen and drag the map to a closer location to the custom poi you want to run the simulation mode for.Set new location on map .Now go back and select the custom poi you want and touch go.It will not start simulation from new location.
