Turn (External POI) to (Favorites) in my nuvi 715?
Hi All,
As you know, when I add POI files to my Garmin nuvi through the Garmin (POI Loader), they are added to the device under the (Extras) menu.
But what if I would like to add them under (Favorites) which is much easier to access?
What is the trick?

What Garmin GPS Should I Buy?
I am looking into the 765T but its an older unit should I still buy it or a newer unit. I need one with traffic. Any recommendations?

Software update for Nuvi 765T
I logged into my Dashboard this morning and found there is a software update.
Does anyone know what's in the update?
How do I find out what's in the update before I allow it?

Nuvi 255W and Bluetooth
I was wondering if anybody has experienced something similar to this:
My 255W seems to be reluctant to remember connections with phones. Every phone I've tried to use with it, each time it's turned on, it prompts for the passcode (1234) to be entered on the phone, regardless of what settings I use on both the phone and the Nuvi.
Any ideas on what to do?

How do I get the subscription code for fmtraffic on the Nuvi 465T
My Garmin Nuvi 465T tells me to go to www.garmin.com/fmtraffic to acquire a subscription code and to enter my traffic receiver id but ive wracked my brain for hours to find any such thing. HELP

Nuvi 780 in Europe
I'm planning on navigating daily with my 780 for fully predefined and loaded routes in France and Germany. Each day has some major cities and some smaller attractions. I need some info on whether this would be too rigid a technique....for example: For most cities, etc, the route waypoint is an attraction within the town.

How to re-install FM traffic firmware
Hi everyone,
On the Nuvi 1350T, does anyone know how to re-install the FM traffic firmware? When I run webupdater it does not show the option to install the traffic firmware.

1490T new update
Can't open my WebUpdater this morning. Went to my dashboard and found out there was an update, did it..but don't know what the update is about..Can someone fill me in? Thanks!

Do Proximity Alerts work in SIMULATE mode on a Nuvi 205?
Hi,
Should I get proximity alerts on a Nuvi 205 if I'm Simulating a drive?
Tech support agent Rich at Garmin told me yesterday that I cannot get proximity alerts in simulation mode because there is no GPS data flow, but on at least ONE point I do get the alerts while in simulation mode so I'm confused?

Nuvi 750 DEAD
Help!!! I was in the process of showing my daughter how to use my 750. She turned it off accidently. Now it is dead. It will not do anything. I tried to plug it into the computer to see if it shows it being recharged. Absolutely NOTHING. Any ideas. As always, thanks to all.

External earphone for 255W and 260W
Hey Everyone,
Has anyone come across an accessory or modification that will allow the Garmins not having an external earphone audio jack, the function for one?
I have created my method for an external earphone function so I can use either the 255w or 260w Garmins on my motorcycle rides.
Any useful feedback would be welcomed.

Optimizing your Garmin Battery Life
Hi All,
I am wondering how much battery life Garmin users here have gotten from their Garmin units without it being plugged into a power source.
I get about 1.5-2 hours at best before a zero battery.
I understand battery times will depend on unit and whether antennas or other third party add-on's are involved.

Multiple categories - what does it do?
Hi,
I have a 760 that does not support multiple categories. It does not even support single category. The field category is simply ignored, but used in MapSource.
Some members here told me that new GPS support multiple categories. How does it work. It seems it works only for Favorites. True?

Mapsource alerts vs POI_Loder alerts
Hi,
I am wondering whats the difference between setting points with Mapsource vs setting points with POI_Loader (other than the fact that you can load MUCH faster with POI_Loader?)
sometimes I want to add points (Waypoints in Mapsource, not POI's)and set proximity alerts for those Waypoints but it doesn't seem to work?
Any idea why?

Really...really hard time with proximity alerts on nuvi
Hi,
I have a Nuvi 205 and think I've read almost every online help site on this topic and still can't get ANY proximity alerts (visual or audio) on my 205. I've even been to Gary Hayman's site and read it all.
I've also been on the phone with Garmin over several months and TONS of phone support time. They can't figure it out. So, maybe someone here can?

POI loader Error
I was trying to load some new POI to my Harley Road Tech Zumo 660 and kept getting a "not responding" message for athe windows application. I let it run from several hours and it finally gave me an error, which I sent to Garmin.
Changing gpx to csv
Does anybody know how to change gpx poi to csv poi. I found some sites that I like but there are only gpx.
I have a Garmin 650.
