I'm in Norman OK. To my knowledge there is no red light cameras or speed cameras in Norman.

On some main streets I get a pop up Alert saying 7 mph speed alert. If I am going slow the back ground is black as I speed up to the posted speed the back ground turns red and I get a beeping sound.

For some reason every now and then the voice on my 885 goes back to Jill instead of staying with Jack. Is there a way to make Jack the default?

We're leaving central IL tomorrow for Pike's Peak, Rocky Mt. National Park, the Custer Battlefield, Mt. Rushmore, etc. and we're relying on our 255W to get us there and back. I've had it for over a year and it's never failed so far.

So I have two questions:

Two days in a row at the exact same location my Garmin 855 does a reboot. It is at the intersection of I5 and I 705 going southbound in downtown Tacoma, WA. This is the location that you really need turns and lane information. The reboot takes about 20 seconds.
What would cause the receiver to reboot at this exact location?
Other than this the 855 has been excellent.

Hello, we have finally got the Garmin Nuvi 465t truck GPS to do OK for trucking with a lot of help from Map Source and the big RandMcnally Truck Map. The big issue is routing and stop errors.

I played with Mapsource creating a route. After loading it in to my gps I can't find it any more. Does anybody know where I can find it?

The wife was driving down the road and the 765T and it's suction cup cradle disengaged from the windshield and by the time it made its way to the floor, the screen was broken. Anybody know if Garmin will replace it for a reasonable price?

My old Nuvi 200 had more accurate maps for street addresses than what my new unit with 2010 maps does.

My old 2009 maps and nuvi show my house in the correct location buy my new nuvi and 2010.10 maps show if about a quarter mile further down than what is correct.

Understand this release likely to come out late July early Aug. I have until approx Aug 12th per my 60 days.

How much typically gets updated on a quarterly new release. Understand poi likely get updated but how much map info gets updated a lot or just a little typically ? ? ?

I've recently noticed that after having downloaded the most recent updates for the voice files I use and then use WebUpdater a second time, it will still show the same updates for download.

With the Garminfone now available in the US and the Dell Streak available in the UK and coming to the US, I was wondering if Garmin made a 5" Garminfone--a Garminfone slate or tablet, would you buy one?

Found out yesterday that the 1450 (and i suspect others) has a overtemp shutdown. I left my gps on the dash and went inside shopping and when i come back to the car the gps had a totally black screen when i hit the on/off button it come alive with a message saying it was shut down automaticly shut down due to excessive temperature, Dont ever remember anyone talking abot this.

We have a password on our Garmin device, but we keep reading news stories that GPS units are a hot item for thieves. If passwords actually worked, it would seem this would not be the case.

Is anyone using an external microphone with their gps 855, if so can you give the part number and make, and where did you get it. This would take care of the noise inside the car when using the VR. I think.
