i want to know red light camera is what kind format ?

When I enter my code, the numbers are displayed. They do not change to asterisks until a few seconds after entering them. My 760 will not show the numbers at all. Each number entered is instantly replaced with an asterisk. I have deactivated and reactivated the security feature several times on the 1490 hoping that that would clear up the problem. it has not. Has anyone else seen this?

Using Mapsource I made a long trip and made waypoints to lock it down so that my garmin wouldnt recalculate a different route other than the way I wanted to go. I sent the file to my Garmin 765t, but never imported the route from the file because we decided to fly instead. Now, I want to delete this file, but dont see it on the Garmin, or on the file structure when connected to the computer.

As we have been predicting for some time, it appears that Garmin is in the process of moving the remaining models of the nuvi 7x5 series to the discontinued list. I noticed on their website that the 7x5's are now at the bottom of the automotive list ... under the 2x5's. If you click on any of them, they show as "Discontinued product".

- but it was getting hard to see how long it is taking Garmin to fix the units and get them back to their owners.

I have a Garmin 1350 for about a year, I just updated the map & have developed a new problem, It now sounds an alarm that I'm speeding.....Very annoying.....My question, has anyone else discovered this problem & how do I disable it.

OK. I downloaded a collection of POIs. I converted them to a .gpx file. I loaded them into Mapsource. They show up in the "Waypoints" tab on the left of the screen. But they won't display on the map! If I select a waypoint, and "show on map" the waypoint shows up on a blank map. Waypoints that I make myself in Mapsource show up OK. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

My 760 has for ages mispronounced "Left". American English Jill TTS says "Then turn laft" replacing the 'e' sounds with an 'a'

I have deleted the actual text file and redownloaded it from the garmin webupdater many times. Does anyone else hear it as 'laft'

I tried importing a TTS file from my 265 which is perfect, but it is not a compatible format.

I have a nuvi 855 and with the volume at a 100% it still seems to be too low...Is anyone experiencing the same? Is there any way to fix this?

I just recently started getting a "speed alert: 9 mph ahead" alert in one certain area of town. The alert shows up in a red box at the top of the display and "pings" every 10 second or so... very anoying when I'm listening to the radio and it keeps cutting out to play the notification sound.

In another post a couple of days ago I was asking about putting 2 separate maps on my unit. I got that answer. So after i loaded the second map on my unit i've noticed it's taking an awful long time to load the maps and to get to the Warning screen on start up. I am not loading the topo map just the 2011.20 2d and 3d. What happened? Space left on nuvi is 1.66 GB which is almost half.

If you use Garmin MapSource software, like I do, to manage your Saved Favorites, be careful when you transfer Saved Favorites from MapSource to Garminfone. I had saved files from my Garmin StreetPilot 2730, Nuvi 500, etc. and when I transferred them to my Garminfone, the Garminfone saved the file, but was unable to open the file and use the Saved Favorites.

Well it looks like what ever I do I can't seem to get rid of some of my Custom POIs. How do you just wipe it clean and just start over?

Has Garmin decided that the Street Pilot c550 is too old to keep the lifetime subscription of TTM alive? I purchased a subscription back in 2008 and now I can't get it on my machine.

I need to remove the disc mount from the dashboard. Any suggestions as to how/whether this can be done. Also what adhesive can be used to install it on another car.

How many times has your GPS brought you to a very busy highway and then told you to make a left turn across it, when one block down there was a light?
I personally would love to see a GPS that knew where trafic lights were and could guide you to them.
I can create a route to avoid this kind of turn in the towns I am familiar with but where I need a GPS is in places I am not familiar.

I tried to install these POI in my new 265WT with the Garmin POI loader but when I tried to save the downloaded files Excell telling my that it's not a standard CVS file and ask my if I want to conserv the format. I tried Yes and after No but none of those worked. POI loader telling me the CVS file is not correct and refuse to load it on my GPS.

I am suppose to have 3D building detail on my 765t, but after having my unit for over a year, have never seen it. Anybody know where you have to go to see it? Dont see where you turn it on or off either. I have been all over NC, Charlotte, and big cities up in the NW. Minneapolis, would surely have it. Lane assist is real good there.

I'm new to the forum and to GPS ownership as well. Recently purchased a used Nuvi 760 that I intend to use both in my vehicles and on my Honda Transalp motorcycle.

On my recent trip to Richmond IN.for a dog show and hunt my GPS would recalculate while driving along a very long straight section of I75 N but it would still end up resuming where it left off,other than that it worked flawless as it always does.
