I bought a 765T at Christmas time. Works great and I am very pleased with it. However I have noticed a glitch. Sometimes I just want to listen to mp3s (using the FM transmitter) when I am driving within the city, without using the GPS for directions. Every so often, the FM transmitter refuses to work till I punch in a destination in the GPS.

Since yesterday (05/27/10) I have been unable to transfer locations from Google Maps to my Nuvi 760. The send function button is shown, but when I click it and proceed to GPS, it just sits there. I also noticed that the option to input the phone number was missing also. I have never had this problem before and was wondering if anyone else out there was seeing this?

Garmin Nuvi 500:

I have a 770 and I am thinking very seriously of buying a new 500. It is waterproof, handles hiking, biking, boating, you name it. On sale at Costco for 199.00 plus for another 100.00 you can add lifetime map upgrades and traffic.
Does anyone have one of these? If so, how do you like it?

It looks like the new Europe map is just out, it wasn't available just a week ago. Quite a lag behind the 2011 North America.

Is anyone having issues with the Garmin Connect Photo website? It loads but with errors and I can't seem to figure it out.

How do I hide all of the little icons which represent the POI's from the Garmin database. I want to look at the map in the highest detail, but every thing on the map is covered up with all these little icons which represent the POI's.

I'm trying to help out a buddy of mine who's mechanically/electronically challenged. He has a Streetpilot III with what appears to be the original maps from 9 years ago.
He's not aware of any data cord that came with it and I don't see a USB plug-in port. It does have a 250mb "Garmin" data card.

I cannot seem to find the setting to enable voice prompts. When I first got it I shut them off, now I want to turn it back on and am stumped!!!

My daughter recently moved into a newly built apartment complex which has a street address that I can only find though Mapquest only. Once I save it to my GPS how do I find it so I can set it as a favorite??? I would think it would save under Custom POI but it didn't...

Just subscribed to the safety cam feature for my Garmin 765
I have a few questions.
1. Will I need to be in the traffic mode to get the camera alerts.
2. Will there be any type of icons or dots on my map letting me know where the cameras are?

Just downloaded the 2011 update for the 885 from garmin site.

I get this message when trying to update the POI files on nuvi 360.

Additionally, the G: drive is the PC internal DVD drive while the nuvi is N: drive.

I tried to direct the update to the poi folder within nuvi to same error message.

I have updated my nuvi 680 with this PC before, therefore I am baffled by this response.

I just got back from a trip to Vancouver for a car show. I use my old Garmin 330 since it isn't a big loss if it got too wet or stolen. It mounts on the window of the Lotus that is pictured in my avatar.

one day my fiance used my garmin and said it was workin fine the next day i jump in my jeep try and turn it on and it started up said it was loadin the maps then just shut off and continued to do that i brought it inside to hook it up to the computer and now it starts up and has a status bar and it only loads about 1/4 of the way then shuts back off im new to the area that im in and i really neede

I have a new Garmin nuvi 500 and I downloaded their poi loader. I selected on this site the 'rest areas'. The file downloaded to my computer with the ext .cvs. I pointed the poi loader to where the file was, but it wouldn't recognize the file even with the ext .cvs on it. I have closed the application and restarted and tried again but no luck. Has anyone else had this kind of problem?

I currently use Tourguide alerts in order to let me know when I am in the radius of my custom POIS. I have noticed that this works well for letting me know when I get within a specified distance. On the other hand, once I begin to travel past and away from the POI, the alert stays on the screen for a distance much greater than what I have set.

I need some help with the TourGuide feature. I also noticed throughout this forum, other 750 users have reported the same problem, so maybe it can not be done.

No matter what I try, I am unable to get the proximity alert to trigger using a TourGuide alert.

I have a Garmin 265T that I have noticed that when I have it on Map View driving into Vancouver B.C. on Hyw.1 there is a rest area around Langley that shows on the top of my screen when I drive past it. But if I put a address in the GPS and drive the same route the rest area does not show up. Why?
