I'm hoping someone can give me some good advice I'm thinking about doing a lifetime update on my garmin 360 I was thinking about buying a new GPS but I've been doing some research and I see they have a lot of problems and my 360 works great except it is outdated so if anybody has done this update could recommend it or not would be much appreciated and also if anybody would know this or

My custom sounds are not working. Please help.
I have loaded custom sounds for my POI's and they are not working. I have followed the tutorial exactly. The name of the mp3 file is exactly the same as the csv file and the bmp file. When I get close to one of the custom POIs I hear the "bong, bong, bong" sound, instead of my custom alert.

Webupdater Installation directory
I want to install webupdater to a directory other than C:\ (E:\ for example).
The install does not allow me to do that (ie custom install).
Is there a work-around?

Boosting volume on Garmin 765T while using internal battery.
I boosted the volume by editing the voice file. However, that works only if it's hooked up to the car charger. If using the internal battery, the volume is not boosted. Does anyone know what file to edit in order to boost the volume while in internal battery?

garmin problem showing mileage scale
I just purchased the life time city download from Garmin. Now I cannot get my mileage scale when getting the map functions to go to a destination. what is happening?

my Dashboard vs WebUpdater...which should I use?
I keep reposting this but I can never seem to find it here...here it is again:
First off, to see what firmware (or "System Software" in Garmin-speak) is on your unit, press Tools>Settings>System>About. The "Software Version" number should be displayed in the upper-right corner.
For example: Software Version 4.60

Can checkered flag arrival be changed
I would like to change the checkered flag to a bloon with You have arrived in it. Any ideas>??

Red light Camera directions
When in the 3D mode. The Red light Camera alert only goes off if I am driving East or West. However, the camera detects vehicles going north and south. When approaching the intersection from the south or north there is also no icon. There is one when coming from the east or west. I have a NUVI 265WT.
Any one else having this problem.

nuvi Time Zone Map v6.0 released...
...at least for the 7x5 series. Other units may have the same update as well but I cannot confirm. As always, myDashboard won't tell you what's being updated so just use WebUpdater (be sure to check for additional updates after the initial firmware check) and eliminate the confusion.

I can't see phone and traffic icons on my Nuvi
I have a Nuvi 1490 (1490t I think). I have paired it with my cell phone, but cannot see how to open the phone on the SatNav and look at the address book. I cannot find the icon.
Nor can I see the icon for FM TMC Traffic.
Do thesw icons only show when the device is in the car? (I'm using it in the house at the moment--it's a bit boring sitting in the car trying to find out how it works!)

775t bug
I was driving in NYC this weekend and my Nuvi 775t went a little crazy. It took about 20 minutes to find a satellite. Also, if I didn't follow the route it set, when recalculating, it didn't direct me from where I was located to my destination but tried to reroute me back to where the road I was originally on so I would have had to go back to the prior location. Is this unusual.

Icons on map for nuvi 1300? (Dumb question)
Does nuvi 1300 not show POI icons on the map? For instance, while driving along, and a resaurant is ahead...should there be an icon of some type on the screen? Is there something I need to set to make ti do this?

Mapsource - problem importing itinery to Garmin 755T
I found mapsource useful and especially faster to design personal itinary. When I upload waypoint and itinary to my garmin unit (755T), I don't understand why but the mapsource software says everything is transfered fine but when I unplug my unit and open it, only the new waypoint are beeing upload. The intinary are never on the itinary menu of the unit.
Do you have similar issues?

When is Garmin ecoRoute HD Vehicle Diagnostics Communicator coming?
As of today May 12th: There is a Garmin ecoRoute HD Vehicle Diagnostics Communicator update via WebUpdater. Does anyone have an idea when this device is going on sale? You can pre-order on Amazon dot com but no official date.

Updating map data on two units
I keep having problems updating my second unit. After finishing downloading (8 hours on my slow connection) and updating my Nuvi 1490T, and connecting the second unit, a Nuvi 260, it insists on downloading the data again, even though it's saved on my computer.
What am I missing here?

Convert Magellan to Garmin Custom POI File
I own a magellan roadmate 800 that died on me. I made a backup of my addresses and favorites to an sd card. Some of the locations are my favorite mushroom hunting spots and I would love to somehow import those into my new garmin 1350T. Is there a way to convert the magellan backup file to allow it to import into garmin? If so how?

Let me share what happened to us today, so that you can learn what might happen and keep an eye out for it....
We rushed to the car to go somewhere this evening, and mounted the GPS, and draped the cable over the rear view mirror, and plugged the FM receiver into the cigarette lighter.. Nothing happened....
