I guess I am a little block headed but, I have a POI

-XXX.XXXXXXX, YY.YYYYYYY, Alert "RR Crossing"

in a group of similar POIs. Also in my folder I have a sound byte

RR Crossing.wav

Why must I do to trigger the sound byte to play as I approach my location? Would you give me an example. using my information.

Hi All,
As we know that Nuvi has one thousand tracks limitation. If you add more than thousand songs, it can do unexpected behaviour.

I was wondering if I copy more than thousand songs but make playlists containing only two or three hundred songs. Will this trick work or not?

I will appreciate your advice as ever.

Downloaded and installed Mapsource version 6.16.2 Now when doing routes all way points a marked with a "dot" tried to change back to old style with "flag" icon but will not work. Anyone else having this problem or found a fix.

Could someone tell me what a speed Camera looks like?

Has anyone run into the following message when they connect their Garmin via Bluetooth to their cell phone?

"SAP Connection Denied. Delete and re-pair with 16 digit PIN code"

The message doesn't stop me from using the Bluetooth connection but it is more than a little annoying.

If you got a speeding ticket but the speed marked wrong speed. Can we use the real time and speed was shown on the Gps. To shown at the court against the police.

I just bought my first GPS (a Nuvi 3760) and I was curious about something I haven't been able to find an answer for. Without any extra POI files, should POIs that Garmin has "pre-loaded" show up on the map when navigating? I have turned on "more map detail", but it just seems like I get more street detail.

Someone swiped an unlocked GPS out of my car (NUVI 270T). Anyway to use it to track the criminal?

My Nuvi 285W was not working correctly and after going through all of the fixes they decided it needed to be replaced. I sent it in and quickly received a refurb. The Nuvi they sent had a burnt out pixels. I can not believe they did not catch this, but they took it back. Number two showed up on Wednesday. Well, I tried to load the latest software in the thing and it would not take it.

im'moving to the phillipines and i want to download some maps on to my nuvi765 can any one help me i'v tried another site but it just send you around in circyles when you follow the prompts. i just want a simple no nonsence way to download thanks for any help.cheers

Twice in the past week, my 760 has suddenly come up with a screen indicating a bluetooth firmware update is taking place but it never moves past 0%. The unit is unusable in this condition. Any suggestions?

UNABLE TO CALCULATE ROUTE, NO ROADS NEAR STARTING POINT.
NO VISIBLE MAP IS SHOWN ON SCREEN.

Just got back from a trip going though small towns - Chilili, Tajique, Torreon, New Mexico. I set a route to my home in Albuquerque. I started at N34 38.322 106 09.968. The 265 routed me though the above towns. However, No towns showed up on the map regardless of the zoom factor. If I canceled the route and went to the screen that I could move the map they were there.

Is there a way I can create a route on my computer and transfer it to my Garmin 660?

Will the Zumo do it (I'm thinking about buying one for my motorcycle

I just shelled out $60 for a 128MB data card with the hope of uploading some the the excellent POI files on this site. When Garmin's POI loader failed to recognize my GPS I called Garmin. The tech support guy told me that the GPSmap 378 is not capable of uploading POI's, even if I use the Data Card programmer.

my garmin 780 will not recognize voice jack. it is not showing up in the voice menu. have attempted to reinstall voice file but nuvi will not open files. any help greatly appreciated. i have done a reinstall but still problem not corrected.

I have a Nuvi I use for everything work related.

About a week ago, it did a spontaneous restart and cleared everything out of its memory. I desperately need everything that was in there, for tax purposes among other things.

I am old, not very computer literate, and didn't realize I could be doing back ups.
