Is these two poi files can use same loader

Hi,
Purchased Nuvi 275T with 2 maps Europe & US
I updated (for free) Europe map this installed MapSource on my Pc - can now view Europe map on PC.
I want to view US map on PC - Mapsource says "product not installed" but it has same 25 char code as shown on myGarmin > installed maps.
How do I get this map loaded onto the PC?

I downloaded all the POI files into one folder on my computer....named my .csv files, BMP icons and sound files all the exact same name. I then used the Garmin loader to put them in to my GPS.....at first I got missing sox.exe errors and "could not convert wav file" errors on every single sound file.

I recently went to the top of Pike's Peak via the cog railway system. I took my Garmin eTrex Vista with me to track the route. I noticed that whenever there was a sign indicating the elevation, it didn't jibe with the Garmin. At the top, the sign said something like 14,400 and the garmin said 13,800. Why the difference?

In addition to the v4.40 released for the 13xx & 14xx series, the 12xx series update v4.40 has also been released. Use WebUpdater to update your unit.

Anyone love their Garmin and what model is it if you do?

Just ran webupdater and it found a new software update version 4.40 for my Nuvi 1350t. Probably they just released it because within their website it didn't list that version. I just updated mine, I'll find out how it goes when I drive home from work today.

Just picked up a refurb Garmin Nuvi 1490T from amazon (one ninety shipped), and wondered how far behind it's software versions are? I'm trying to determine whether I should wait till the end of my 60 day term to (hopefully) get the most current map update. Should I be concerned that the 1490T will malfunction after updating, and should therefore do it now, in case of an exchange being needed?

The POI loader does not find my BB 9700. How do I
load custom POI files to my BB for use on Garmin Mobile?
Where are the POI stored on the BB and how are they accessed via the Garmin app.?

Does anyone know how to schedule overnight stops in MapSource? I have created a route over 2000 miles long with waypoints located at POIs where I would like to stop along the way. MapSource tells me the duration of the trip is 1 day. I don't see any options to adjust the lenght of stay at any waypoint. Also, there is no estimated travel time between waypoints.

I have been experiencing problems lately with my nuvi and was wondering if anyone has seen same and/or come up with a solution?

I've been searching but can't find (if there are any), a POI file for state counties. We do a thing on our Harley and really could use data when/where counties are.
Any thing out there?

is it only my nuvi 1690 that freezes constantly or does anyone else seem to have the same thing

I pulled the trigger today on a new Nuvi 1490T. If all the little doodads (cash back and rebate) work out, the net will be $188.31! I was almost going to get a 765T refurb from Newegg for about the same price when I found this deal.

If anyone is interested (sorry that it's a little convoluted so YMMV):

My refurbed 1490T arrived Friday afternoon. I did the basic start up items, took a drive and then connected the unit to my computer and tried to register it through My Dashboard. As expected, since it is a refurb, I got the message that the unit was already registered.

I wanted to see if anyone else has noticed the same problem I have been having. I have a 755 & 765 with the MSN receiver. I just got back from a trip from Miami to the DFW area, then to Virginia, and back to Miami from June 1st to June 28th. I have noticed several times, and not just on this trip, that the MSN will show traffic on my route and show the delay time, and yet there is no traffic.

When my power cord to the Garmin 255W went dead I thougt I was out of business until I could find a new one but Radio Shack had the fuses I needed to replace the one that had burned out. Now I'm back in business. Thanks Radio Shack. The 4 fuses cost around $4 and a new replacement cord from Wal Mart was $26.00

I'm new to this, so be kind. I just purchased a 1450t and installed some POI's I downloaded from the POI factory.

How do I know or how do I turn them on? I drove by a couple of POI's that I installed to test them and nothing happen. I checked my Garmin and the POI setting is set, so what else is there? What should it do when I'm by one?

I have had my Nuvi for about a week now and noticed something I'm not sure is right. When I'm taking it off the mount I can see the pressure from my fingers on the back of the unit distort the top of the screen. I'm sure some of you have pressed on an LCD screen and seen the colors distort.

A few weeks ago I remembered that I had the nuMaps Lifetime card that came with my 765T last year and hadn't used it yet so I updated the maps on my 765T for the first time. Last week we're leaving for a weeks vacation to the Eastern Shore of Va. I punched in the campground we were heading to. The 765T calculated to 99% and that's all she wrote. It wouldn't calculate the trip 100%.
