Garmin talk

I lost my trusty nüvi 760 and can't find it anywhere. Looks like I may have to purchase a new GPS. I don't care if it's a bit on the spendy side and I'm a Garmin fanboi but.... I need the dang mp3 player and FM transmitter and it looks like none of the new units have those features any more.

Looking for a list of Wawa stores.

I got my Return Material Authorization on Sep 16 and I'm still waiting a decision about where to send my nuvi 750. Anybody else with this problem?

I've had my 765T since they came out (nearly two years now). I went through all the software issues. They replaced mine three times during all that early on. Overall now that the software is straightened out I'm really happy with all but one aspect. If I try to use it on the battery it shuts down in 30 to 45 minutes. That has been my experience with all three units when I had them.

Anyone ever hear of Garmin being paid to send folks via Toll roads vs other routes? Even though the non toll route may be faster?

It appears to me that I can remove all the files in the /text folder on my 1490T (.glx) with the exception of the four en_GB files as this is the only language I am using on my unit. That would free up another 35 meg of space on the unit. (In older units, these files are the .gtt extension)

Anyone see a problem with that?

I recently bought a Nuvi 1490T with life time maps. I expected that when I registered it I would be offered the free map update. However when I registered the unit I was given an offer to register the life time card. I thought this was a bit strange and I selected to register later. I looked for the free map update but it was nowhere to be found.

I am a bit confused by the charging of my 1490 using an ac adapter (for my cell phone) that I used to charge my StreetPilot c340.

I would like to know if what I am seeing is "normal," or do I need to buy a special (Garmin) AC charger?

I purchased a Nuvi 1490T about 2 months ago and really like the features of the unit. Saturday I ordered a Nuvi 295W. Not for its GPS capabilities but for its WiFi capability. I have looked and looked at smart phones with their many features and realized the Nuvi 295W could meet my needs of on the go email retrieval every few hours by stopping at a McDonald or other site with free WiFi.

Im trying to find out how to delete All of the data (maps) in my Data Folder on the 885.

Hi, i got my Nuvi 265WT about a week ago. Yesterday i tried to update it from the garmin website and everything worked correctly. I turned the nuvi on and it keeps saying "no data" and when i go to points of interest it just shows "spell name" with the ABC icon. Someone please help me to get the Nuvi back to the way it was, how can i fix this issue?, thank u.

I was on a long drive yesterday when I looked at my gps and noticed in the top left corner where it would show you which way u will turn ahead there was a orange flag there in stead. When I did get to that location nothing happened it just went away. Anybody know what that was ?

Well, after getting my previous Nuvi stolen at a hotel last year (long story), and not having it surface after reporting it to Garmin (Garmin lock works evidently), I'm buying a new unit.

I have never used the route feature on my 1490 and I want to try now. However sometimes I only know I want the route after I have done it so is there a way to create once you get to destination and realize you want to save?

Busy learning the ins and outs of the WalMart special, the nuvi 1100.

The closest family member of the 1100 is the 1200 (just doesn't have the text-to-speech). Also, cannot import routes from the MapSource program.

Other than that, it's ok so far.

I bought the 1300T yesterday out of necessity. My 255W was stolen so I needed something quickly for my job. I "upgraded" to the 1300T because it has Lifetime Maps and Lifetime Traffic (ad supported to my chagrin). This was a snap decision made in-store so I had no idea I needed to look for the speed limit feature. For crying out loud it was on the $120 255W.

We have had 1490s for most of the year. Latest one stolen in Philly by an elbow smashing PS window. Setting up new one. Have had the problem of not knowing when the unit reroutes because she thinks that traffic is ahead. Used it many timnes when she wants you to leave an interstate or other primary road to go down a back road because (I guess) she thinks it is a shorter milage distance).

Is there a way to get out of the safe mode on my Garmin 1450T?
