I have a 755T. After I download a POI file from POIFactory, let's say one entitled "Passport America Campgrounds", how do I access that specific list of locations while using my GPS unit in the field (not plugged into the computer). For example, I want to know just which campgrounds in a area are Passport America, not every CG in the area.

I have a Garmin 785 Nuvi. Recently it has given me speed alerts. First it starts in grey color and beeps. Then it changes to red in color and still beeps. The alerts show 3mph to 7mph. These alerts occur on many locations in the US. This is NOT the same as the speed camera download although it acts very similar. Question is how did I acquire this new alert?

How do I get to the change history on the Garmin site for a particular unit? Going to downloads just tells you to use webupdater, but I know you can get to the change history page another way. I'm trying to find change info for a friend.

Last year I got a great deal on a Nuvi for my wife during Black Friday sales. This year, I am looking to upgrade from 765T. I am sure there are other out there looking for a good deal on GPSr's. So if you see a good deal, please post it here so everyone can benefit.

Hello how do I load MP3 or wave files on my Sd Card
installed in Garmin I have loaded LCBO In Canada there are alert sound file not sure how to put then in.

Corrected an issue with the LOC8 entry in GarminDevice.xml.

I tried to activate Birdseye but it rejects my Dakota 10. Garmin support is giving me a refund and told me that the Dakota has no expandable memory and only the Dakota 20 will work with Birdseye. I do have about 950 MB of data memory on the Dakota 10, but no maps can be purchased for it. Rather it can work with Map Source for Topo 24K as an example.

I just recently upgraded to a Nuvi 3790T from my old Nuvi 760. I installed all my own custom POI's including the redlight camera file and a redlight camera .mp3 that goes with it. Both redlight csv file and mp3 file have the same name but the 3790 plays its own alert instead of the custom mp3 I uploaded into the unit.

Lost it with a Hard drive reformat,it'll be reinstalled with the next map update or go to My garmin and re DL the last map???

I have a Nuvi 1300 with lifetime traffic.

I have to say, that traffic thing is pretty flaky.
Here is the traffic map.

Today I am driving on the 10 freeway and the traffic reception was going on and off. The traffic button would turn gray and I click it, and it says "poor reception for 10 minutes".

I have ordered Topo Map U.S. 24K Northeast DVD: DVD 010-11318-50, and plan to use it with a Dakota 10. I found that I still had a set of 3 CD's of Mapsource Topo for Western U.S., Eastern U.S., and Alaska & Hawaii U.S. I had used these with a Garmin Map12 that is woefully bad on satellite reception and graphic resolution. This set is labeled Win 95, 98/ NT 4.0 .Version 3.00 Oct. 99.

When I open Mapsource, it allows me to choose whichever version of map that I want. I see no reason to select anything other than the latest version.

Can I delete old versions and if so, where do I find them, on my computer.

Mapsouce is located in C:/Garmin on my computer, but I can't find the actual map files.

I have a 1490lmt, If I install a new SD Drive will I get Mexico when I upgrade to the newest map upgrade?

Garmin has released firmware update 4.70 for the Nuvi 13xx and 14xx models. It is available via Webupdater (and my Dashboard probably but I don't use it so can't confirm). The change log reads:
