Garmin talk

It is a feature I sorely miss. I am thinking about getting rid of my piece of crap 765T. If I upgrade, this is a feature I would like to have back.

I recently got a new phone from Verizon Wireless, the Pantech Jest. I decided try out the bluetooth feature on my 765T.

The pairing process went smoothly. Once paired, all the usual features showed up: phonebook, last number dialed, voice dail, etc...

I called xm about a subscription on my zumo 665 and they asked me if i wanted a liftetime subscription @$576.49. i have a liftime subscrition on my first sirius radio, but the price was much lower. has anyone else has had this offered to them

My daughter had her Nuvi780 sotlen from her car this week. Thief broek her car window and grabbed it.

I had it registered with Garmin and this is one of the model which has the MSN receiver for which I had a "LifeTime" subscription.

Has anyone ever reported an actual stolen unit to Garmin so they can somehow blackball it for repairs or updates etc ?

Is anyone else having problems loading the WalMart POI File? I get an error on line 339. I looked at the line and there is no obvious error. So I tried again and still got the error. I then deleted the line (339) but I still get the error. This is using the last file posted.

Never paid attention to backing up my Nüvi until I ran into a problem, solved it, but the question remains: How do we back-up this device (I mean totally)? Is it possible except for preferences etc., and if yes, how do we do it? And last but not least: Recovery back on the device if something goes totally wrong (Like ghost/image)!

I've not been too active with the GPS recently and am out of the technical loop. I'm fairly sure that it is not possible to use the Junction View, 3D View and the Timezones functions on a Nuvi 250 or Nuvi 760. I've done a few searches on here with those keywords and haven't found a definitive statement on it.

Hey Guys; whats the deal with my POI's I thought I had it down but noop!

I have a new Garmin 1350t and I downloaded the Starbucks cvs file and the Panera cvs files to my PC (Windows 7). I used the POIinstaller to install them on my device. It says it's successful, the POI file on my Garmin reflects the date I did the download, however when I go to Extras, nothing is displayed.

I´m very keen on buying a Nuvi 3790 but in some of the reviews I´ve read there have been some comments that the unit is slow in getting a GPS fix and holding it can anyone confirm this for me.

The 2011.3 map update should be released sometime next week looking back on the last 3 dates that the 3 previous map updates were released. My guess would be that it would be released on the 27th. I'll keep you guys posted.

For the past 2 hours I've been trying to install a Redlight Icon on my 885. The only thing I get is a default dot. I've done this 100's of times before but it just won't come up. I'm also having trouble with the custom sound. Can anybody help me please

just bought a new computer, windows 7
installed my mapsource did a update
also bought a update from garmin for my nuvi205
and city navigator will not show up in mapsource
only my topo maps and north america city select v5
my old computer had xp and it worked with city navigator north america 2010.2 anyone know how to add it thanks

I had one before but don't remember where I got it.

Looking for sound that says wawa ahead where would i find that.

(1) I my opinion, there should be two prices for maps. One price for those who do not already have an earlier version of that map, and a lower price for those who already own that map but are just updating it. Most major software companies follow this format for their software.

Just returned from Mexico (Guanajuato and San Miguel)on a two week trip. The 1490T did very well on the roads and directions. It did not know very many POI's which was ok. Overall a very good experience and it worked well.

if I were to insert an sd card loaded with all the 465t files would it work as one reason cause a friend of mine has one and I took all the file's put them on an sd and the funny thing is that when I insert it to my pc it opens up as a 465t on the run file but can't get it to do anything on my 785 recon there's a trick it just won't happen what yall think

I just updated by 1370T without reading what it did. Now I find all my favorites are gone. Is there any way to recover them. I just found out that I could have backed them up. Is it too late?
