Birdseye Satellite compatibility

I tried to activate Birdseye but it rejects my Dakota 10. Garmin support is giving me a refund and told me that the Dakota has no expandable memory and only the Dakota 20 will work with Birdseye. I do have about 950 MB of data memory on the Dakota 10, but no maps can be purchased for it. Rather it can work with Map Source for Topo 24K as an example. But the Birdseye sales information lists both the Dakota 10 and Dakota 20 as compatible. You have to put Base Map into your computer then I thought an area was selected for the photo overlay, size depending on the units data memory. Who is right? Garmin support or Birdseye or me?

Correction to original message:
The activation program did not reject my Dakota 10, but got hung up. It asked me to register, even though I was registered, and one Garmin support rep took this as a rejection. Today I spoke to another tech rep from Garmin, and he agrees with me that the unit should be tested for corruted software or hardware, or a communication failure. He will either fix or replace my unit, even though I did not purchase it from Garmin. As for the unit not being compatible with Birdseye, I did succeed in running their demo and sure enough a photo overlay did appear on my screen. If anyone is interested in a resolution to this I should have the replacement or repaired unit back in about a week and will post same.

Garmin support tested my Dakota 10 and replaced it with one that works! I am grateful for that as there was no cost involved. Yes, the Dakota 10 is compatible with Birdseye. I did not respond sooner as I was out making tracks and routes.
