Ok, I got my new 1450LMT (my third Garmin) ... it came with 2011.1 NA.

Instead of overwriting the previously installed map, I tried to update just a small 2011.3 region (Chicago to Peoria) on an miniSD card inserted into the GPS.

Mapsource 6.16.3 didn't appear to create and copy a JCV file onto the miniSD card.

Should Mapsoure have created a JVC subdirectory on the SD card?

Whenever I do a firmware or map update, I'll then do a hard reset.

After doing the hard reset procedure the unit will ask what country, what language and then I'll have to choose the voice, vehicle, avoidances etc. I'm certain the unit is resetting but what's odd is that my favorites reappear along with older favorites that I previously deleted.

Anybody know of a good place to buy a New Battery for my 885?

I bought a Garmin 1690. How do I set the voice to say "warning, redlight camera" instead of beeping noise at the redlight poi. Thank you for your help.

Yesterday my 3790 (with the latest updates installed) was at the pin code screen and I spoke it's name and the voice command screen came up and allowed me to "view map." It totally circumvented the pin code.

I recently travelled to the Great Smokey Mountains from Connecticut.

My GPSMAP60CSx calculates different routes with 2011.3 than with previous versions. All GPS settings remained the same, no new roads constructed, etc.

Anyone else notice this?

What kind of info can I put on an SD card that can be used by someone else with an identical 1490?

The FAA now publishes free aviation charts, in raster format. How can I prepare these in a format for Mapsource to import to a nuvi?

I ordered a new 1450LMT ... why I don't know ... because I have two perfectly functioning Garmin GPS's already, but hey, I wanted Junction View ...

But now I need to know where I might first encounter a Junction View.

Does anybody know a specific Junction View in the Chicago, IL or St. Louis, Mo area?

I'm sure this may have been asked somewhere in the past but couldn't find it. Just wondering if there was a chart regarding charge times for the 765T (AC vs. USB). I don't have an official Garmin AC adaptor but I put it in the cradle and plug the cigarette lighter into a AC/DC converter. Seems to be quicker than USB.

I dropped my Garmin c580 today and now the screen is blurry. Please help

After 5 years of faithful service my note book is giving up the ghost. I will be moving to a new computer soon but have a lot of work ahead of me transferring programs and files.

What do I need to do for my Garmin 750? Any advice?

Has anyone used bluetooth with a Blackberry Bold 9000 with a Garmin 765T? I found over time with the mydashboard updates from Garmin my Bluetooth features have become less reliable. I use to be able to voice dial with my Bold or lookup last number dialed, missed calls, etc.. Instead now I see a list of phone #s which are long stream of numbers that make no sense.

I am getting better with using CSV files to load custom POI, but I want to make sure I am using all of this capability.

Given that, what is the schema, format, structure, etc. requirements of a CSV file so I can take advantage of all the capabilities of the GPS? Presently, I am using a Garmin GPSMAP60CSx.

I have newest maps, lifetime traffic and latest firmware installed.
I was using 660 to get to someone's house, and I was getting there too early... Did not get to destination, turned off on road that would give me about 10 min more travel time... Garmin told me I'd got off path.... as expected..... I continued on my delayed route....

Hello: I had an europe map on an SD card inserted into 765T. This worked normally before. I have not needed to use the europe map for a while. Today I noticed the europe map is gone from the the list of available maps. I then put a few MP3s onto the SD card in a folder called "MP3". These songs could not be seen by the 765T's MP3 player.
