LOL .. the picture shows Garmin device, but has the TomTom interface on it smile

At Costco

Consider buying at Costco. Their return/exchange policy is realy good.

If you can shop at AAFES, Nuvi 255W will be $88 on Black Friday.

Good luck getting one though, as "quantiies are limited."

Black Friday GPS Deal!

My experience to look for GPS deal:

High end, top the line models will not see much discount, only 15% to 25%. Only low end, clearance models they will cut you a good deal. Don't forget to look at Walmart, Target, Office Depot you may find some basic unit for $50 - $100 bucks.

LOL

LOL .. the picture shows Garmin device, but has the TomTom interface on it :-)[/quote]

I didn't notice the Tom Tom display until you pointed it out. We will have to wait and see which unit Target actually puts on sale.

good place to find them

Garmin 1300

Newegg has the Garmin nuvi 1350 for $89 with no shipping or tax for the refurbished model. Delivered in 2 days. Bought 2, 1 for me and 1 for my parents. I can't tell they aren't new except for sticker. Newegg is a great mail order company with good return policies.

Nvui 3790T $404.99 with free ship.

This is the lowest price I have ever seen for this high end Nuvi. To get it at this price, you must buy it from BeachCamera through eBay using Buy-It-Now option @ $449.99, then use 10% off code CBEACHGPS10 at checkout, which makes it $404.99, and you must use PayPal to check out. You will also get $9 back from eBay as eBay Bucks. And if you are registered at mrrebates, you can get another 3% cash back.

Here is a link to the eBay listing:

The coupon code can expire at any time. So if you want one, I suggest you get on it.

lanlin, thanks for the link.

Although, I'm hesitant to do the Buy It Now at $449 since there is no way to know if that coupon will work or not.

Once I click the Buy it now and committ to buy it, I may be stuck with the price.

Otherwise.... if I had some assurance the coupon code would work, I'd jump on this.

Just got this

BeachCamera require immediate payment on their Buy-It-Now. That means you are not committed to buy until you pay. After Buy-It-Now, choose to pay, near the bottom right of the page, there is a box to enter coupon code, click apply after entering the code. The discount will show up. Then choose to pay by PayPal.

ianlin,

Thanks for the info.... I just read your message and clicked the ebay link and now the item has been removed.

Don't know if they sold out or had a pricing error or what.

Oh well..... I suspect that we'll see some more deals around. Hopefully they be as sweet as that one.

Can't guarrantee the coupon is still good though. On the plus side, eBay is having double eBay Bucks promotion today. Thant means you can get $18 back.

Good Luck! The coupon worked for me. I ordered it the night I posted the deal here. Already got the tracking number. It is arriving next week. If I had waited until today I would have gotten another $9 off. But on the other hand, the deal might have expired.

Why in the world would you want to "upgrade" from a 765T? What can a newer unit possibly offer that would make it worth purchasing when you already have a great GPS? I'd rather have my nüvi 760 than one of the newer units that are missing the features I like.

PS... You can send the 765T to me. I'd be happy to give it a loving home. smile

Comparable to Target's BF deal (159.00 + tax) is around $15 more. With no waiting in line or spending a whole night at your computer waiting for the deal to get available online for 5-10 minutes or until is sold out, it looks like a very decent deal to me.

But the 765 is a piece of crap. Dorkus did an extensive review here at POI factory, and pointed out many of its serious flaws. I wish I had read it before I wasted money on it. My number 1 complaint is the touch screen. Very frustrating to use because it selects the wrong item about 25% of the time.

Maybe the one he had that time. Certainly my 765 is not a "piece of crap." The most recent software update corrected the touchscreen issue and I have not had issues with it since that time. It does work well. Whatever replaces it must certainly be of greater value at this point. But "piece of crap"? I beg to differ.

Garmin's on-line Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals... when I first received the e-mail announcement several days ago, the actual deals were listed on the preview page. Now there is just a notice to check back on Black Friday and Cyber Monday (11/29) to see the individual deals for those two days. I remember that the Monday deals had a special price of $60 or $70 for a lifetime map upgrade card. $60 would be a good deal... $70 is more than Amazon's regular price.
