Anybody having weird map redraws on the unit(1490)when using maps created in Mapsource?

I looked online at a connected unit model 1690, with a two way google local connection for two years (with ads) for about $94, refurbished on Amazon. It has traffic and a two way data connection. Gee whiz.

So I love all the custom pois on this site but what I want to know is if it is possible to some how download all the pois from a new garmin and replace all the old outdated pois on my garmin nuvi 1200

I've been trying for several weeks, and somehow just can't get the TourGuide function to work with my 560LMT. Does anybody know if the 560LMT actually WORKS with tourGuide files? Being a trucking GPSr, I'm wondering if that was left out.

My 855 battery compartment door does not latch. It keep falling exposing the battery. Where can I get a replacement door.

Last month we updated the firmware on one of 2 Nuvi 265WT we own. This was done at the direction of a Garmin rep while trying to address a traffic display issue that turned out to be a problem with NavTeq, not our Nuvi units.

We want to go back to the previous version.

The unit completely froze-up while navigating. Although it happened with my 660 as well when it was brand-new, unplugging from the lighter and plugging it back in caused the unit to turn off. Not so with the 2350, it just remained stuck in the same state until the battery drained. I'm starting to wonder about Garmin. It's a good thing money grows on trees! LOL

How does one have both Europe and North America maps on one SDHC card?

Don't both maps have the same file name?

Trying out the Voice Commands on the new 3790LMT. Garmin did it again. Can't use voice commands in Tools like I can with the 855, just Where To. Any adjustment in Tools has to be made manually. That sucks. Am I missing something here.

Hello everyone.

I am now the proud owner of my very first SatNav - a Garmin 265W...

In my eagerness to install map updates onto the device, I must have done something wrong as the map does not have suffficient detail nor is it pin pointing the right position on the map...

In a number of threads, we have discussed internal memory of Nuvis - and - given advice as to how to increase the memory available - and - debated the merits of .csv versus .gpx with emphasis on the fact the .gpx files are larger.

I attempted to download the most recent map update from the Garmin website yesterday and reached a blank screen titled, "GCP Install". I'm wondering if this is an IE 9 compatibility issue. Anyone else encounter this? I have not yet received a response from Garmin.

Last night about 10pm I heard a voice coming from my home office. It said--"Please drive the highlighted route"

My Nuvi 855NA came on by itself and announced the route that I had installed 36 hrs. before but had not yet driven.

Any ideas as to the cause?

I have downloaded the manual from the garmin site for my 3790lmt. Is there a better manual than that. It looks like it isn't explaining everything. I have to do a hit and miss on somethings.

Ok, this is embarrasing, but I have a quick question.

I purchased from Garmin the City Navigator Europe NT maps on a microSD card for a trip that I will be taking next month.

I know this is hard to believe, but I am not sure how to insert this into my Garmin Nuvi 1350. I obviously know which end goes into the device, but I'm not sure which side is up.

Just got back from a 2 week long drive....

During this time we had (When we could) program the same destinations into both GPS's...

For anyone who may be searching for some user comments, I thought I'd add mine.

I bought my unit about three weeks ago and used it daily, for 15 days, on a trip from Washington, DC to Spokane, WA., and back to WDC.

I'm having various issues and problems with my Nuvi 1490. One of the issues is that when paired to my phone, sometimes it will download my contacts but most of the time it will not.
I have the latest firmware; anybody having the same problem?

Can I attach a file (bitmap) to a forum post?

On my Nuvi, most roads are unmarked for traffic conditions most of the time. Occasionally some are yellow and red to mark slow driving conditions. (Sadly, these are usually way out of date, but that is another topic...)
