Topo Detail
I am still using a 2610 for my motorcycle trips as it is waterproof, shockproof (beat around on handlebar mount on dual sport rides for 80,000 miles), and runs the US TOPO 100K files. The TOPO detail is excellent. Does Garmin offer a newer version of the TOPO maps with GREATER detail? NOT 3D.

Garmin 465T Less Than 2 YO - Was Useless - Fixed Problem by Using Different Computer
Symptoms - My device is recognized by the Garmin Web Updater Software application for doing system software upgrades. My device is also recognized by the Internet Garmin interface MyGarmin / MyMaps when connected to the Internet. However, neither the GarminMapUpdater application or the GarminLifetimeMapUpdater application will recognize my device.

How to disable coordinates while scrolling map?
I just started using my first GPS, a Nuvi 2595LMT. When I use my finger to scroll the map it puts a blue coordinates flag wherever I touch the screen and the screen jumps to that coordinate. It's very aggravating. How can I disable or at least turn off this feature while scrolling?
I've searched the forums and can't find anything on this subject.

when you bring it up and select a camp.
there is no option to "GO" so it will not draw a route?

Conflict with custom POI and built in POI?
Will there be a conflict between a built in POI and a custom POI? What will i expect if this happen, a built in POI pointing to a recently downloaded custom POI here?

my garmin 255w lost all maps
Hi I'am new to this and I like to thank you for letting come in now my son deleted everyhing on my garmin 255w now I have no clue on what to do next and I do not have a sd card and no I didn't back it up I would really like someones' input on this ty ben

What should a GPX file be opening in ???
when i go to open a gpx file it tries to open in adobe, then fails. whats going on ?

2460 mandatory update
When I checked My Dashboard, it identified a:
"Mandatory Software Update
We have discovered a software issue that may cause your device to repeatedly attempt to update GPS firmware and either shut down or no longer acquire GPS satellite signals."

How to get GPS to stick to windshield?
I use the windshield suction cup device for every GPS i've owned, and every one of them starts falling off.
How do i get it to stick to the windshield besides spitting on the suction cup. (that leaves an ugly ring on the windshield.)

What series is my Garmin for calibration purposes?

I'm using the Beginners Exercise 7 - Calibrate Nuvi Touchscreen.
I have a Garmin 2595LMT but I don't really know which of the series the author gives fits my unit.

3790LMT Voice Command Access to nuRoute Prompted Calculation Mode
On my 3790LMT I am able to set route calculation mode to Prompted which means when you click Go after selecting a destination, you are presented with an option to choose the fastest, shortest, or most fuel efficient route. How do you access this option via a Voice Command?
Also, if Prompted is set and a route is recalculated, e.g., a turn is missed, which algorithm is used?

3590LMT Bracket
Does the 3590LMT power cord connect to the bracket or the GPS it self. I looked at the manual and it shows that it is connect to the GPS. I thought I saw a post that if the GPS ends with a "0" it is connect to the bracket.

using nuvi 500 trip computer
I am new to the GPS world- I have this Nuvi 500 for a few years but having recently retired I would like to know more- Now my trip computer- when I stop my car it resets(?) the milage goes to zero- How can I keep it going when I stop? I did NOT have the GPS pluged into my vehicle- ALSO how can I retrieve my info from my trip?

Identify File on Nuvi 2460LMT
Does anybody know the correct file (or files) that store all the customizations I make on the Nuvi 2460LMT.
Every time I do a hard reset I must go in there and customize again. No problem with the favorites, easy enough, I am talking about features such as the "Main Menu" and the information screen on the screens right side while driving a route.

1490T - White Line?
Hi Folks,
Turned on my relatively new 1490T this morning to find a thin white line from left to right. It isn't too annoying, rather sad though that after over 15 years of Garmin GPSs in all kinds of terrible weather and trying conditions, this new Nuvi which has been used in the car four times now is the first one to suffer a failure.
