Garmin talk

In Trip Planner I have an unsave trip. How do I delete this. When I do a delete I can't save the delete. I have done just about everything that I know and it would'nt go away.

This has happened a number of times on my 765T, maybe everytime it reports traffic, but I hear what sounds like "P9 traffic ahead." I haven't figured out what it is saying or what it means. Any ideas?

Newbie question, I just installed the redlight cam file using poi loader on my garmin 2555,
I plan on adding new locations to the file,
When i come to install the updated file will it automatically overwrite the existing file, or Do I erase the existing POI file then install the new updated file, Thanks in advance

I got a good price on a new in the box 50LM.
I've had very basic GPS before, but I'm a newbie to it's functions compared to the 2 previous units.

The only POI's I have uploaded were golf courses and Harley Davidson dealers.
Today the unit sounded and a "camera" banner came up on the screen about 200 ft before this area's well known red light/speed camera.

I have downloaded Extra POI Editor so I can create custom POI's for a road trip.

Is there a way to get the custom POI to show up larger than a dot on the map? I tried selecting the flag and it still shows up as a dot.

I would like to bring my GPS System [on vacation] with me. to use it on my rental car, Is there any danger in going through the security check points at the airport with the system? Could it be corrupted in any way by going through the xray machines? What is the best way to travel with it by air?

I thought this was an interesting mounting option for some people that have a compatible model.

I have had my 2460 for about 14 months now and I generally like it and I do talk to it a lot while we are traveling. Last year we took a big trip out West and had good luck with Veronica (My 2460). Took us a few strange ways but never had to back out of anywhere. This year we took a trip through VA, TN, and NC. We took a lot of state and county roads.

Just tried to put in the details of an upcoming trip with the trip planner and have found it is not retaining the info ,has anyone else had this problem

This past weekend I went on an overnight trip about 75 miles south of my home. We headed home the next day and my GPS said it was going to take 3 1/5 hours to make what is usually a 90 minute trip home. My wife asked if there was a freeway shut down or real bad traffic causing a really long way home.

On Nuvi 765t, whenever I need to find a POI (a regular one), if I search by categories, the results come up almost instantly. But if I try to search by name, it always takes an unbelievably long time, sometimes 10 minutes and more - even when it eventually returns the very POI's that are not far away, and would be among the first ones if searched by category.

I went to download a bunch of GC's to my GPS last night and they wouldn't transfer. I tried using the cable from my car GPS and that wouldn't work either. The handhelds cable works with my car GPS so I think the cable is good.

I have loaded several POI into my dezl560. When I try and brows through them on the device it will only show 50. when I load the same POI's into my PC I see all the records. Does anyone know if there is a way to show more the 50 records per POI file, or do I just have to break the files down into groups of 50 records or less?

Guys, I can't pinpoint the exact time when my 760 started acting up, but it's essentially unusable at this time. I did an update to 5.30 and installed BaseCamp maybe a couple months ago. I haven't used the Nuvi much since then. I tried to use it in the past week and have had major issues with it. There are a bunch of things wrong.

I recently purchased a 2360LMT. I tried it out this weekend and mapping and bluetooth work great. However, it will not show traffic at all. I entered a route I knew had traffic on I-95 and it showed up as "No traffic on route".

I recently began loading custom POI icons from POI Factory for popular POIs like Walmart, McDonalds, etc. However, I was disappointed when I found that these icons do not appear on the map when you are driving. They only appear when you zoom in fairly close and at that point, you are probably so close to the intersection you could see the sign for the Walmart in real life!

Do any of the currently produced Garmin GPS units use the same style of power cradle as the 765T? That is one of my favorite features. I have multiple cradles/suction mounts/power cords that I leave in my different vehicles. Then it is just a simple matter of taking the GPS unit with me and leaving power cords, mounts etc.

Hi, I am a MAC user and recently updated my free Nuvi maps. After the process completed I was not able to add an address - kept getting "Map data is not available". I saved my current gpx files, did a hard reset, erasing everything; then I restored the files and did another hard reset. I STILL get the same "Map data is not available" screen!!

I have entered speed limits for many small roads for which there was no data only to lose it all when I needed to do a hard reset. Not surprising, but does anyone know where this data is stored? Looking at the file system, it is not obvious to me. Also, is this data somehow uploaded to Garmin?
