Famcamps poi

Does anyone know how to fix this poi?
when you bring it up and select a camp.
there is no option to "GO" so it will not draw a route?
anyone know how to fix?

worked for me

Is this the file in question? http://www.poi-factory.com/node/1101

Last time I used that file was in 2008 using a Nuvi260 and it worked and overall pretty accurate.

So we can help you troubleshoot it maybe useful to know which of the PND you are using (model)

Numerals

I see the csv file is named FAMCAMPS1.csv. Having a numeral in the filename gives a "no GO" result as you've seen.

Rename the file to FAMCAMPS.csv on your computer and reload the file to your nuvi with POI Loader and there should be a GO for you.

There's no need to download the file again. Simply rename it on your computer to any filename you want as long as it has no numerals (or other special word like TourGuide, Redlight, Safety or a few others).

bingo

CraigW is correct the file I have in my PC I had renamed Military Campgrounds

Maybe this is the file I used since it has Alaska http://www.poi-factory.com/node/18860

PS--dan, it'd be useful if you contact the maintainer of the file and get the filename changed--or more likely, contact JM or GlobeTurtle to get the filename changed since the maintainer of that file hasn't posted in years and probably doesn't visit the site any more.

Also curious is that both files IDed by flaco were posted by their respective maintainers--and for each of them, their uploading of their POI was the one AND ONLY activity ever seen here at the POI Factory. Never a forum message or reply, never an update, etc.

And dan, even if you never plan to visit AK, the fact that the file with AK is much newer may mean that it's more up to date. To really check it out, someone would need to compare the two files' contents--and then check the results with Google Maps or something to see if they really work. One location that could be used is the Fort Tuthill Rec Area at GPS Coordinates 35.139329, -111.69326
