2460 mandatory update

When I checked My Dashboard, it identified a:
"Mandatory Software Update
We have discovered a software issue that may cause your device to repeatedly attempt to update GPS firmware and either shut down or no longer acquire GPS satellite signals."
I followed the update procedure: "Software Installed
All files were successfully installed.
You must restart the device for the update to take effect.
Disconnect your device from the computer and manually restart it using the power button.
When the restart process is complete, turn the device off.
Reconnect your device to your computer and wait 30 seconds."
But My Dashboard continues to ID the required update, that is, the update apparently isn't completed.
Any ideas?
I searched for this update in the forum and was kind of surprised that I couldn't find anything about it. There's usually some talk about most updates that come down the pike. Maybe I just missed it.

I just ran the updater and
I just ran the updater and it didn't have an update for the 2460. hmmmmmmmm.
myDashboard
It has been reported many times by many users in this and other forums that myDashboard is not reliable for listing updates or for recognizing that an update has already been applied. Use Webupdater instead.

Software Versions?
I NEVER use myDashboard for updates, only WebUpdater.
I have the latest software & firmware and I have no issues as described.
Suggestion: Check your software & firmware on your Nuvi by hitting Tools-Settings-System-scroll down to page 2 -then hit About.
Most current software is 2.80
Most current firmware is 2.89
If you have these you have the most current.
Then use WebUpdater and you should not receive any messages of "MANDATORY SOFTWARE UPDATES".
In the future I recommend you ONLY use WebUpdater.

... I usually update using the WebUpdater. Happened to be on the Garmin site and thought I'd try the Dashboard and it reported that message. I'll stick to the WebUpdater.
