Hello. I am a complete Nubie but have read as many of the FAQs that I can. Bought a Nuvi 50 and was able to set it up and d/l maps and updates.

Downloaded several .gpx and .csv POI files then got POI Loader and downloaded to a 2Gig SD in the unit.

Now What???

I like that Garmin includes the change history again:

Changes made from version 3.50 to 3.60:

Fixed several search bugs.
Fixed several map display bugs.
Fixed several Trip Computer display bugs.
Fixed several bugs that caused the wrong keyboard to display.
Fixed a bug that caused voice prompts to speak incorrect street names.

I Just get a GPS Garmin Nuvi 750, Which has not been updating since 2008.
I appreciate if somebody can explain to me please, How can I update it. When I tray to update it from the website of Garmin,It will have to pay $40.

hello the person that did the NHRA tracks. you mist one in NH. i did send a e mail to that person about 2 weeks a go but i dont no if her is still here. the last update was 6-2008. the new one is 43.018015,-71.030195

Fixed an error when creating waypoints or tracks over 3rd party maps that are missing files

As I read these posts I find there are way to many versions of Garmin GPS systems. I can understand the company trying to baffle the public just to make a profit but one should know someone to respond with a knowledge what the difference is between their products and if the new number has real improvements or just window dressing.

When I noticed the post about the new version I updated my nuvi 3590 and maps on my computer with no issues.

I just finished downloading the map to my GPSs 855LM,2595LMT and 3790LMT. I checked the box download map to the GPS and computer. I can only find one map. Shouldn't I have 3 maps.

Since Garmin has schools listed on it's installed products, why can't they allow us to turn on proximity alerts for them? Wouldn't this be good citizenship?

When I first got my NUVI, I download a whole bunch of foreign language voices for fun. Well, the fun is over. Can I delete the ones I don't want (Windows Explorer).

The same question for the extra help files.

Should I un-hide the.system file before I download the new map.

Just read the thread on Canadian speed limits. Have never seen these on my Zumo 550. Most of the posts do not mention what units are being used, so I was unable to tell if this feature is supported on my Zumo.

How can I download the new map 2013.10 directly to the SD Card of my Nuvi 2450?

City Navigator 2013.10 North America is now available for download from the Garmin website.

I used an earlier version of Option2 to start the download but it is also available via myDashboard

My Garmin-supplied redlight camera alerts are no longer working. The only thing I've changed is that I'm using some of the free Custom POI's here.

I have a 3790LMT I have updated the Red Light and Speed Camera. Is it possible to have 2 different sets of POI. One set shows that they start in Austin, Tx and the other set shows that it starts in Round Rock, Tx is where I live. I have tried to delete and download again with the same result.

Finally have both of my GPSs 3790LMT and 2595LMT backed up.

Until now I have never used one of the mounting discs that come with Garmin GPS units. However, I bought a 2010 Honda Accord earlier this year and I am now giving it some thought. Anyway, for those of you with experience using the Garmin mounting discs, how well do they work for you?

I have successfully uploaded several POI files to my Garmin Nuvi 1450 but the Icon .bmp files from POI-Factory do not show up on it. I have ensured the names are the same and they are in the same folder prior to upload. Other (non-custom) icons show up normally. What am I missing?
