Does the nuvi 650 automatically change its time when I cross a time zone when driving from Arizona (Moutain Time) to California (Pacific Time)? The time I refer to is the Destination Time.

Hi everybody, new guy here. I'm loading POIs into a 1 gig SD card. When I do this some of the POIs that I had loaded to the SD card earlier have disapearred when viewed on the Nuvi 650. Example: Wineries, KOA, Good Sam have disapearred! Question: If I am loading new POIs into a SD card, does it remove some of the pre-loaded stuff to make room for the new stuff if the space is limited?

Does anyone know how/where I can report map inaccuracies?

I have the City NT 2008 and a wrong exit number is showing up.

Maybe someone can help. Does anyone know if its possible to format or reimage a demo nuvi 680 version. These are the ones that are in bestbuy or any major brand store. They are basically the display models all the features are there except is programmed as a demo version. Any input would be appriciated.

Does anyone know what program I can use to view the vehicle srf files with? I've tried Irfanview and Photofiltre and neither of them will recognize the srf format.

Does anyone know if the Magnetic antenna mount sold as accessory for the nuvi 300 (and others) really boosts the signal strength? I seem to have to wait a long while at times for my unit to find a signal. I was wondering if anyone has used the exterior Magnetic antenna and what you thought of it.

All in all, I love my Nuvi. But, there are a couple things about it that run from annoying to flat out exasperating that I need to share. Maybe I am just missing something in the setting that can save me from myself.

i updated the Nuvi 660 when the 4.3 update first came out and have found a bug. if the traffic reciever is warning of traffic on the route the next turn button (lower right corner) when touch will only give traffic instead of next turn.

I have a Nuvi 660 with the car charger/traffic receiver. Last night, I left work around 5:00PM and got on the freeway right in the middle if rush hour. It took about 15 minutes for the orange light on the traffic receiver to turn green, but the traffic icon on the menu page didn’t enable for another 5 minutes or so. Even then, no traffic delays were shown. This is crazy.

"You must react quite quickly to sliding the power key onto the locked position(slide right). Then press and hold the screen and quick slide the power key on and then quickly back to the locked position. You should already be in the lock position by the time the Garmin Logo appears. You'll know if you’ve done it correctly if the messages at the bottom of the screen do not appear.

does anyone have a ecel sheet for the making custom poi that they are willing to share with me.

It seems that it could need a liitle boost when driving fast...

Will changing memory cards while a NUVI is operating damage/corrupt anything?

I updated my 200W to ver.3.10 and was very upset with that.
I think that there are some bugs in this update with vehicles icons and pictures stored in JPEG folder. I found out that it also did not work properly with SD card-reader (in the same time Navigation worked OK).

I am thinking of pruchasing a new GPS for use on my Halrye and in my cars. How are the ZUMO 550's holding out? Any quirks?

Playing with my nuvi 200 around my area I notice that it's telling me to turn about 10-15 seconds too late. I know the roads I'm on and just playin' around. And the unit tells me to turn after I've already turned. Any ideas why the lag? Thanks

I bought a second nuvi a while back with order maps installed. I bought the latest update (2008) and installed it in ANOTHER unit. Can I install the maps on the SECOND unit or are the expensive map updates just usable ONCE on ONE unit? Thanks.

Why Can't Garmin Make a map software for the whole world? Like charge 1000$ for one whole World map downloadable for every Garmin. When it comes to memory issues the can add 1gb of internal memory to the new Garmin's/ still keep removable media option available
