Garmin talk

Recieved the StreetPilot c330 for Christmas 07'. I was wondering if bike routes could added to it, and used on the trails as I ride, instead of buying a new unit for $$$$$. I was also wondering why POI's don't show up while I'm driving, and only when I brouse the map.

I have a Nuvi 350 which has a head phone jack. Has anyone ever connected this audio output to their auto radio? I suspect this is frequently done.

My car radio does not have a front panel audio input but I suspect it has one on the back of the unit although I have not had the unit out of the car, which is a 2004 Ford Explorer. Any thoughts?

Hello. Need a little help if I can. Have a 760 and had 2.9. For some reason, it froze. Someone said to try to reboot, which I think I did. Now, Webupdater doesn't seem to work on it. When I hook up the 760 to the computer with USB, the line doesn't go across the screen of the 760. Any words of wisdom?

I have a nuvi 660 software version 4.40. After I load my custom poi's should they show up when I power up and then click View Map, or do I have to go to extras>custom poi's>map to see them, or is something wrong with my nuvi

I have a garmin c 530 , some how i have files in my extras and i want to get rir of them a have a sd card for custum poi files is where the files should go i want them on my card please help

Unfortunately, my wife left my c340 "on" for about 6 hours while she was at work.

It was not plugged into the car-charger, and now the unit appears "dead." Even when plugged into the charger, the USB cable on my pc, or in the car with the car charger cable, the GPS is not coming on.

Ok so I have been looking all over and I haven't found a way to make my own proximity alert file easily. I have a VERY accurate list of speed cameras both mobile and affixed in my area and I need to make a file so my gps will remind me where they are. What is the easiest way to take this information and have it on my garmin 650? I find it annoying that we can not enter this into the gps manually.

Does anyone know if you can make your own routes for this unit? If so,how do I do it? I took a trip recently and the route that was loaded was fine but halfway there it decided to take me another way , several hours out of my way (don't know what was up with that), but I would like to be able to lock in route or tell it how I want to go. Any advice??

What's the biggest capacity SD card people use on their Garmin?

Have anyone tried the SDHC 8GB or 16GB?

I know it works with SDHC 4GB as Garmin support web site posted.

My car and motor home both have a radio with a CD player. I think that is pretty standard in todays vehicles. Why would someone want a MP3 player in their GPSr? The GPSr sound quality certainly doesn't match my vehicle's system. Why not just burn your music on CDs and use them when you travel?

Is it possible to convert an MS Streets & Trips route (*.est) to a route file recognizable to my nuvi 760?

have a Nuvi 660. I have it paired with my cell phone.

When I list a POI and choose to have the GPS dial it, that part works. However, the phone company always comes back that the number can not be dialed as entered.

The POI's have the phone number listed as:

+1-xxx-xxx-xxxx

The "1" is not the issue, I am wondering if the GPS is dialing the +.

I just read the May issue of Money Magazine and they recommended the Nuvi 780 as their choice for King of the Road. Granted, they only tested a total of 5 units, but the Nuvi was the clear winner. Of course, keep in mind that Money is a magazine geared toward financial advice, so they aren't really the experts, which makes the recommendation more from an average user. Hats off to Garmin!

I have a set of coordinates, but when I try to enter into my Garmin 760 in coordinates there are too many numbers whats up?

i cannot get downloaded new vehicles onto my nuvi 360.
i tried extracting them with winuzip and and then loaded them to my nuvi following all the instructions yet when i re power up they are not there
any ideas?
