When it gets to 99% complete, tells me either the drive is full (It's not it has over 20 GB left) or I don't have permission to write to the drive (I'm on XP and am the only user listed, and have administrator rights). I've tried downloading in IE 6 and Firefox 2.
Just to make sure, I downloaded 5 or 6 very large files from other websites using IE 6 and Firefox, no problems. It seems to just be with this file.
Can anyone help? Or if not, email me the file so I can install it? I just got a nuvi 350 today and am anxious to try out some of the things you all have been talking about!
Thanks in advance.
.
Try it from this site. Scroll about halfway down.

The file is just over 15 MB.
This is odd. Can't download
This is odd. Can't download any files from that website. Yet I was able to download several poi files from this website. Just did a virus scan yesterday, which came up clean.
It seems to be very selective in what it won't let me download. The only thing I did since my scan was copy the entire contents of the Nuvi memory to a folder on my hard drive named "Nuvi Backup".
I just went to tucows and downloaded a 20 MB file with no problem. Seems to be limited to gps stuff. boy am I confused.
edit: just downloaded another .csv from here just to be sure...worked fine.
edit2: Tried to save these files to my USB2 external HD, same error, yet other things will save. Can't download the communicator plugin either.
I'm going to a windows help forum to post this also, but if anyone here can help, it'd be much appreciated.

Must be a problem on your end. (Not sure what, though.) I just reloaded the POI Loader 2.5.2 EXE from both Garmin's site and GPS Information site without any problems.
Perhaps a security setting?
As soon as Spybot finishes
As soon as Spybot finishes it's scan, I'm going to power down and see if that helps....
I've got a bad connection on
I've got a bad connection on one of my SATA cables which controls my raid 0 array. Guess it was messing up the works. Pushed it back on tight, and now everything seems ok. sorry to have been a pain, but thanks for the help!
Broken Tip on traffic control cigarette lighter power unit!
The tip on my power connector is broken . Anyone have any experience getting things repaired or replaced from Garmin. My unit is a Garmin 550c which has the power unit and traffic control in one unit if I replace it ... it costs $198 Tiger GPS has the whole unit on sale for $179 so I just bought one for my other truck still need a power unit for the other. I really have not found the traffic unit of much use. any help or suggestion would be appreciated tanks Bill

If all you need is a car power supply for a garmin, they are very inexpensive on Ebay... Search for "nuvi car power" or "garmin car power". Looks like I see a few for less than $10 shipped.
Good Luck,
Larry
I have read of others getting it replaced gratis

Check with garmin, they may give you a new one in exchange, how old is it?
