Using 660 in Australia

Hi everyone,

I'll be in Australia for the next 2 months on business. Can I use the 660 there? If yes, do I need extra maps? Any tips?

Your 660 should function normally in Australia, but in order for it to be useful you would need to purchase and load City Navigator for Australia.

Seems like this product may not work on the 660, checking on the compatibility drop down none of the Nuvis are on the list.

Hi you could do a Google

Hi you could do a Google search for maps called (SHONKY) and download and save them don't let the choice of name put you off it really is a good product
downloading may take awhile tho
I think the current version is 3.51 and it's Garmin compatible wink

Thanks for correcting my mistake. I did not check unit' compatibility. Should have known better.

City Navigator NT for Australia

While the regular City Navigator maps of Aussie are not compatible with Nuvi's the City Navigator NT maps are, for an explanation of the difference see the links on the Garmin Map page.

Both the City Navigator NT

Both the City Navigator NT and non-NT work with the Nuvi 660. I'm using a North American Nuvi 660 in Australia with the non-NT maps.
