Is anyone having issues updating the SD card for Garmin Mobile XT? Whenever I update the card, it removes the application from my Palm 700w and then will not reload. Garmin tech support provided me with instructions for updating, but I get the same results.

If you own a Nuvi you may wish to postpone updating the unit.

Garmin is pushing out new updates which prevent you from installing older versions of the software. What does this mean to you? Well, previously if you installed an update and discovered that it contained bugs, you could then reinstall the older software to return your unit back to its "original" condition.

Some of the MP3 files that have been loaded into my GPS do not show up on my PC when I link, even though they are listed in the GPS. I would like to delete these files to save memory. Is there a secret to this? (Most of the MP3 files do show up in both the PC and the GPS)

Maybe I'm a little slow and not very observant, but did the 4.0 firmware update add "proximity points" to the settings on the nuvi 200? If I go to the menu > Help (wrench) > settings and scroll down to the bottom there is a Proximity Points tab giving you the ability to turn on and off proximity alerts to the custom POI's. Has this always been there?

Yesterday I installed the Garmin POI Loader. This morning I turned on my Nuvi 350 and all the maps have disappeared. When I go WHERE TO > ADDRESS> SPELL STATE I immediately get the message "No Matches Found". When I go HOME my little house icon shows on a blank map. It appears that my data base is gone.

Does the GTM12 traffic cable work with the Nuvi 780? Thanks

I have a few questions though and couldn't find the answers/didn't know where to.

I'm having trouble unzipping zipped files to move into my Garmin POI file on my computer. Also, I can't get GTX files to load either. What am I doing wrong?

I updated my nuvi 760 to 4.00.
I was having some problems, so I wanted to backdate to 2.90, just to see if it was a problem with 4.00.

I ran the nuvi760_290.exe file, and it seemed to download to the device ok, but when I dissconnected from my computer and power up the nuvi it doesn't update the firmware.

I've made several attemps, but 4.00 remains.

Any help?

I have nuvi 680 that does,t have costco thats only give me every time kitchner ontario then in usa .I update with latest csv file but still it show me same thing mean nothing in gta or toronto ,same thing with walmart i pick latest updates on poi front page but after i check its have same thing that,s no walmart in vaughan,please any body tell me where i am doing wrong or what i have to do.

I just purchased a Nuvi 760. This is my first GPS unit. Even though I am computer literate, I am a novice when it comes to these devices. I was able to successfully load a POI using the POI Loader, and adding new vehicke icons. However, I am unable to load a bmp icon. I thought I had followed the instructions posted at "How Do I Load BMP Icons into my Garmin GPSr", but I have had no luck.

Well it happened. In the midst of trip an in a traffic jam, up popped a message saying that the sat lock was gone. And so it continued off and on for a week.
When I got home, I contacted product support and to make a long story short, sent it in for repair. I'm GPS-less until they send it back.

My 660 seems lately to be unreliable on ETA when there are traffic warnings. The ETA will jump 20-30 minutes on a 40 minute trip. Has anyone else seen this?

I had my first opportunity to drive past a Red Light camera this morning. My Nuvi 260 alerted me via audio, but I did not get a red screen and text telling me what the alert was for. I just got this unit a few days ago and the Red Light POI is not the one available here, but is just the four cameras we have here in Tucson.

A couple of days this past week (Not every time I power up my Nuvi 760) I got a message 'your traffic subscription is about to expire. Then 2 instructions after that: (1)click here for more information, (2) do not show this message again.

When I hit (1) it says: no traffic subscriptions to display. ???????

Has anyone else noticed inaccuracy of finding locations since Loading the new 2009 Map?
I am considering trying to go back to the 2008 Map due to erroneous directions. I did not have this issue with the 2008 Map. I have heard one other person so far with the same issue. Thanks for your response!

My NUVI 250W is an Australian. Just arrived in Europe (Ireland) on holiday with the full Europe mapset.

The first thing I noticed was that everything just worked - how good is that!

In browsing the product area on the Garmin web sit I came across a listing for nüvi® 785T. In fact on the filter bar under series it had 705 listed. I click on the option and it listed 755T, 765T, 775T and 785T. The feature is lane guidance.

I had a Nuvi 200W, and got rid of it for a 205W, which is MUCH better in terms of satellite fix. It's almost instantaneous as opposed to waiting up to 3 minutes with the 200W.
