Deleting Audio Books

Can I delete the audio books and pictures that come pre loaded into my 760 to gain some more room on hard drive, without causing harm to my unit?

Yes.
It's advisable to backup the whole nuvi drive to your computer before deleting anything just in case you delete the wrong thing by mistake.
Absolutely. In the Nuvi 760
Absolutely. In the Nuvi 760 To delete the Pictures, open your (X = Your Drive, the GPS Shows up as)
X:\JPEG And Delete what you want, you can remove the entire contents of this directory, if you wish
For the Audio files open
X:\Audible and remove what you wish, also remove the corresponding files in the X:\Aubible\Position directory as well, as these files will no longer be needed, if you remove the source file.
**DISCLAIMER** USE EXTREME CAUTION when removing a File from your GPS. Deleting the wrong file(s) can render it useless.
Done that on my 760 and I had no problems with it.
