I will start this off with a BIG GRIN!!!
As some of you know I travel almost 100% for work so my 680 is my life line to making client meetings and avoiding traffic and those pesky citations for red lights...LOL
Anyway the Mount broke with in the little plastic clips where the ball socket connects to the bag/suction mount...This in of itself is not a tragedy...however driving in rental cars with the device on your lap or near the gear shift presents a hazard...Anyway I found myself traveling to Kansas City and noticed Garmin is 20 miles away...so I called support (around 3pm) and asked if I could come by and pick one up...They said don't bother what Hotel are you at and we will have it to you the next day...Sure enough the next day...I came back from the Client site only to discover I had a package waiting for me!!!
What a fantastic Service this company provides...the only negative I could find is that this part is not readily available to retailers...but hey with service like this...Who cares!!
Garmin customer service
I know there have been gripes recently over firmware and map updates on this site, but when it comes to the little things as described ... well you cannot top Garmin customer service. I had problems with my nuvi when I bought it and let's just say that Garmin sorted it all out for me so quickly that I was - and still am - a very happy camper.
