HI,

I'm a newbie to this...

I just added a few POI's to my Nuvi 650 and would like to know how to verify they are on there! Any suggestions?

The next four Nuvi units to be discontinued are;

750,760,770 and the 780.

No date as of yet, but I thought you all should know.

Has anyone noticed any misspellings of street names? I was approaching Warren Parkway in Frisco, TX southbound on the Dallas Parkway, and I noticed that my Nuvi had spelled Warren wrong. It was spelled Warnre.
Am I the only one to find spelling mistakes?

I am having trouble downloading Custom POI's to my new Garmin 2730. Using the Garmin POILoader software, it sends the data to the unit successfully, but when I go to Custom POI screen on the GPS all I see is a bar for DELETE ALL under the Manage my custom POIs screen. Does not list the POI's that I just downloaded.

I'm sure it is something simple for you guys.
I downloaded a few custom poi files. For example: Mcdonalds. I put it, the mp3 file and the bmp file all in the same dir.
Then used poi loader to send it to the nuvi 200. When I click one of the Mcdonalds and then click map, it still shows a dot. (when I zoom all the way in)

I have set up Google Maps to do the "send to" to my Garmin 770, however, many times I am missing the send to option and just get an e-mail option.

If I restart Google Maps it then works OK? Getting tired of restarting any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?

I have a nuvi 750 ,and after loading custom pois for sonic drive-ins and McDonalds it does not show the ones in my town.I have a sonic within walking distance from my house. When I search for sonic and McDonalds the closet ones are 13 miles away. When I looked through the .csv file for sonic it shows the one in my town. Can anyone help me figure out what is going on?

Something strange has taken place with my Garmin Nuvi 360. I used to upload (via Garmin POI Loader) all my POIs and it would take about 7 - 8 mins, I suppose. When I upload/update now, with a smaller POI list, it's taking around 45 minutes. It's crazy. I have to get up and walk away and return later.

On my Nuvi 200, after pressing the "where to" button there is the "extras" button which only contains "Custom POI's" which I added from this site.

Are there any OTHER extras that might be put in here?

Maybe other maps will eventually be placed here if I upload them to the GPS?

I just received a notice that Costco has the Garmin 205W for $200, and includes a beanbag mount. I don't know if it also has the windshield mount. Online only!

Would make a great Christmas present.

I have a Nuvi 260W and when I search an address it always comes up with Washington. I am in Oregon and it would make it much faster to do the search if it would default to Oregon rather than having to change it every time.

Is there a way to correct this?

Map 2009 (preloaded with my Nuvi 750) does not included mn-312 (not so newly build state highway) ad now mn-312 is changed to mn-212. I have submitted an report on http://mapreporter.navteq.com site and hopefully it will be included with next map update.

On both my 350 and 750 when trying to find an address while typing in the city only one name comes up and it is not the one I want, For example, I want Turnersville but as soon as I type TU, Tuckerton pops up. Any way around this?

What does it mean when you get a warning that says something about a 1 mph speed alert? I thought I was reading the screen wrong but it did say 1 mph.

My friend at Garmin has informed me that the update will be posted in the next 24 to 72 hours.

I have Australia maps loaded to the SD card in my NUVI at the moment, I will be travelling to Europe shortly, the question is can I or should I load the European maps onto the same SD card as my Aust maps, or should I get another SD card and load European maps to that, so I keep each on a seperate SD Card.

Has anyone broken the end of their MSN Direct power cord while removing it from the 12 volt power plug?

My Nuvi 760 traffic subscription indicates Total Traffic Network(US):Expires-12/24/20.Do I have subscription until 2020 or 12/24/2008? . I am on 3 months trail period and activated 09/24/2008.

I noticed something with some of the POI files that I have downloaded from this site.
When the name of the POI, or other information, is in all caps, TTS voices doesn't pronounce the name correctly.
I know it might be a lot of work to correct all the files that are currently on this site, but going forward, lets turn off caps lock.

Hi all,
I have a C550 that came with 3 months of free traffic update that will expire soon (in another month). I'm in the Los Angeles area and oftentimes I found the real-time traffic is not very accurate or late. I'm not sure if it's just me. I'm debating if I should get a year for $60 when it expires.
