Hey all, new user of a nuvi 760. First, thanks for the great information on the site. I wanted to see if anyone has experienced what I have for the 760 and battery charging. I'm using the friction mount with the traffic receiver cable that came with the 760 plugged into the cradle. The lighter plug end is lit green, so I'm reasonably certain there is power to it.

I am new i try to load poi through loader from garmin site. but every thing is fine but when i want to slect the poi file csv or gpx file the folder it contain does not open i just slect folder . can any one help me.

A little technical questions for all of you, garmin specialists or MP3 music fans.

I have many differents types of songs on a SD Card that I use on my garmin 660. Many of those songs had been downloaded without any inscription in the properties in the type/style field (Rock, Disco, Techno, etc.).

I was wondering if any of you are using a "Garmin Vent Mount". I purchased this on Ebay. It is a double clip mount that attaches to a "vane" of your heater/air vent. It keeps it low, out of sight and looks more installed. I personally love it!

How I can organize my custom POI? I ahve all downloaded files (restaturats, shoppings, etc) under "All Categories". I want to have sub-categories, like restaurants, shoppings, electronics, etc.

I have the 660. Some of my POI alerts work sometimes. Today I went right by one and nothing then just I then I was about 1/4 mile away and it went off and showed me the Icon. Then as I got right next to it , it stopped. Any ideas ?

A friend offer to sell me his 2009 map update for $20.00 so I could install it on my Nuvi 350. He has already installed in on his Garmin. I told him that it can only be installed once and not on another Garmin unit. I think I am correct. ??? If not, then I guess it is a good deal.

My 260 arrived yesterday and after backing everything up, I started the registration and upgrade process. Eventually the Garmin site allowed me to download the latest version of the maps, which I have done. I'm assuming that I was permitted the download only because my maps were not up to date.

I have downloaded the redlight camera POIs, with icons, and an amusing voice notification audio file. The problem is that the volume for the Redlight warning is excessively loud, to the point of being extremely disconcerting in a quiet environment. Is there any way to adjust the volume of just the Redlight POI audio file? Thanks

Seeking to upgrade my c330 found on ebay. Works great but now finding it takes a long while to locate the satellites. Is this a common problem?

Nuvi (760). Is there a quick way of switching from 3D to 2D view?

So far the manual only seems to show you have to do it by going into tools and switching. Tapping on the screen seems to bring up a 2D map but it isn't really a changed view, more a sub-menu that asks if you want to go Back.

I already loaded it via webupdate to my 760. I'll post again when I've given it a tryout.

I have a Nuvi 5000 and Nuvi 780. I have been trying to understand the MSN Direct that comes with the 780.

Am I able to use the same subscription with both the 5000 and the 780 just by switching the receiver cord?

Some posts have said that MSN Direct is independent of the GPS but attached to the reciever, but the Garmin web site says different.

I have read several post about lockups, but never experienced until lately...

I have used my 780 for several trips, accounting for nearly 3000 miles in the last 6 weeks.... Never had a lock up for the first several weeks... POI files were small.. worked through some early issues...

I recently bought the Nuvi 750 on eBay. On the list of features listed, it said it had bluetooth... Now that I have it in my hands the only mention of bluetooth I can find is in the trouble shooting, where it directs me to menu places that aren't there on my device. Is it just me/mine? CNET says it doesn't come with bluetooth... If it truely doesn't, I'm going to be bummed!

I'm seeing a library of MP3 sound files......Is there, by any chance, a library of (already done) sound files in WAV. format somewhere?

Am I dreaming or what? Last weekend I went north on 95 thru Baltimore tunnel I did not get the poor signal when I am in the tunnel but the vehicle indication on GPS still showed still moving as if it got signal.
