Garmin talk

Hi all, I followed a link a few months back and downloaded the free generic squares of Tenerife and managed to get them on my Garmin GPSmap 60Csx but now I can`t seem to get the Topo GB map back on the unit although it is on Mapsource and Basecamp I can`t seem to transfer.

Think I have tried everything?

Do anyone have a problem with their Garmin 1490 turning off lwhen caclalating routes???

I've searched the forum and couldn't find an answer so my apologies if I've missed a relevant post.

Question:

I downloaded the speed and red light camera files (csv format) and a Texas speed trap file (gpx format).

I transferred them to my Nuvi and then transferred data to Basecamp.

I can't find any of the data above when I look in the Basecamp maps.

I see that someone created a nice BMP for Trails. But I like the Garmin Trailhead symbol.

How can I assign that symbol to a POI file? I can't find the BMP file in the Program Files directory. (I suspect it's buried in the DLL file.) Is there a way of using the built in BMP files? Or has someone downloaded the built in files so that I can use them separately?

power on/off.
hold power button for up to 60 seconds.
Powerup while pressing corner, tried all four corners.
removed face plate, there is no reset button.
charged up for hours, let run down while showing GARMIN logo...
Tried all these things, yet Nothing changes.
Any other ideas for frozen nuvi 1390?

I purchased a refurbished 2460LMT GPS and in the process of setting it up/gettinf use to it, I notice that while setting in front of my house and pressing "where am I" it gives the wrong house address. I am parked in front of 4113 & it shows 4177. Is there a way to correct this?

I have a Nuvi 1450 and would like for the map to NOT show the pre-installed icons but only show my POI icons is this possible? I am sure this has been asked but I could not find it

I hadn't updated my gps in a while so today I decided to update to the new map, which I did. then I went to garmin dashboard and it said that I should update the usb drivers, which I did. Now my gps will not turn on. please help me.

just bougth 1350. Befor had Mio, and had a option to avoid any road from itinerary for next few miles or whole road itself. I can not find any thing same in Garmin 1350. So any one know?

Hi, I have a Garmin NUVI 2460 and since I updated my maps I get wrong "arriving at" destination directions. It usually says: "You have arrived at your destination it is on your LEFT" when it really is on the Right. Is there any way to fix this problem? Thanks.

I will be going to Europe in the near future and plan to bring my nuvi 3590 with me. When I checked with Garmin they told me that I could not use my AC charger (Garmin) and had to buy their international kit. I already have multiple plug adapters.

The charger I have has an input of100-240V, 0.3A, 50-60Hz, 10-20VA
Output:5V 1A

If the input in Europe is 220V wouldn't this charger work?

I replaced my old 260W with a new 3490LMT. What a difference! Only disappointment is the Garmin manuals. The Starter manual that came with the gps doesn't do much more than describe how to turn the unit on and off. The complete manual downloaded from Garmin is better, but leaves much to be discovered in features and much for trial and error learning.

I, for one, have been hoping that Garmin would eventually offer an Android application with maps stored on the smartphone allowing off-line navigation here in the United States. Now it looks like we just may get it in 2013!

I noticed one thing today about the latest map update.On a short trip to Treasure Island FL.When ever the voice message alerted for a required turn it said go right.Pretty sure it use to say turn right.Throws you off after hearing turn right or left in the past.
