Can anyone explain/verify why TourGuides work consistently on my 680 and Zumo 660, but not on my 3760T?

Sound files?

The 680 and 660 use MP3. The 3760 uses WAV. Have you converted your sound files to WAV and loaded with SOX?

SOX File ?
I've converted my MP3 files to WAV, and created a separate directory to use with POILoader for the 3760 (I'm keeping a separate directory with MP3's for the Zumo and 680).
Do I need to load SOX in order for POILoader to install the WAV's on the 3760? And if so, will SOX affect how the MP3's load on the Zumo and 680?
Thanks!
Yes. No

Yes, you need sox.exe (the correct older version and placed in the correct folder, the one containing POI Loader.exe) to load wav audio files to your nuvi. No, sox.exe is not needed, but if present, will not affect in any way, the loading of mp3 audio to nuvi models capable of playing mp3 files. (I believe it's still true that sox.exe is needed with PCs and is not necessary for Macs.)
And for others planning to try TourGuides, a TourGuide file will work only when loaded with a playable audio file. A missing audio file, whether by intent or through an accident (file names don't match the csv or gpx or a missing or newer sox.exe) will result in a failure of the TourGuide to function.
Your 680 and zumo can also play wav files, so if you want to, once you've converted all your old mp3 files to wav, you could delete the folder with mp3 files and let POI Loader always go to the folder with wav files for all your Garmin GPS models.
Thx
Thanks for the clarifications!
