Walmart/Sam POI
I downloaded POI for walmart. I tried to upgrade new POI sites. I think it duplicated the POI on my Garmin 2350. Do you need to delete the old POI from the unit. I nned some help on this. I have general knowledge of computer.

Need help to purchase a Garmin
I have a TomTom but; the newer models don't allow personal customization.
I'd like to purchase a Garmin.
I use a Mac OSX Snow Leopard.
I need a decent unit that I can add my own poi's, car symbols, color schemes & voices.
Can you help?

How many satellites?
There are 32 satellites orbiting the Earth. My NUVI40 satellite view has room to show inputs from 12 of them.
Something I read recently suggests that it uses at least 4 to determine location. (Three are minimal to pinpoint locations)
Is the Garmin using all of the satellites it can see?
And, what is that red dot on my satellite screen?

Can NOT see POI after upload to zumo660
Using Garmin POI Loader, I uploaded two different POI files from POI Factory (National Parks and Moose Lodges). I don't see them anywhere I can think of to look. I have re-booted several times.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Garmin Lock works...sometimes
On a Nuvi 855, I've noticed that the Garmin Lock feature does not request a PIN about once out of every 30 times I turn on the unit. This is not due to being close to the pre-defined security location.
Has anyone else experienced this or know why?

NUVI 3490 Calculation Problems
My NUVI 3490 just started taking forever to calculate routes. It has become terribly slow for no reason..
Has anyone experienced this or have a solution?

Vehicle Power Cable for 255w(car)
Hi...I'm in need of a replacement Vehicle Power Cable for my 255w.
Somehow I have bent the piece that goes into the Garmin 255W and we lose connectivity.
Any recommendations on where to purchase one CHEAP to replace my amage cable.

garmin latest 2013.10 map missing an entire highway?
I just don't get it, Maryland Route 200 is not even contained on the map. It partially completed back in Feb. 2011, and totally completed in Nov. 2011. What reason would Garmin give, if we asked why it doesn't even appear on their latest map? That's why I question the so-called LMT.....

Saving favorites to laptop
My Garmin Nuvi is subject to a battery recall. In order to send it in I have to let the battery run down which loses all my favorite locations. How do I save them to my laptop before I send it in?

How do you download certain sounds, ie "Jetsons" will not play nor can I download it as well as others?? Thanks for help.

WEB UPDATER ver.2.5.6.0 as anyone download the new Webupdater just released v.2.5.6.0 ,the software update also want to install Net framework does anyone know why? I also need to install net framework ? And anyone know what is a MTP device? that also is included with new webupdater version?

POI loader ver 2.7.1 does not install on my windows 7 OS
I want to transfer GPX files into my Garmin nuvi 260, and I can't get the POI loader to install on my Windows 7 OS.
I have read the discussions on this forum and have tried to run the install as admin and the file keeps telling me that "this is an unspported OS version. This application required Windows XP SP2 or greater." I even updated my Microsoft.net Framework 4, and still no luck.

Traffic Map Not Toggling?
On the 1490T, pressing the traffic circle on the map brought up the "Traffic Map" screen. When pressed, it would revert to the map and show known traffic. If you subsequently pressed the traffic circle, it brought you back to the same menu, but it would say "Show Normal Map". In essence, it would toggle between traffic or no traffic on the map.
New POI files
I just returned from a 3 wk trip and wanted to check to see what new POI files have been created (I don't mean updated, but new). Is there a way to go back more than a week to see what new files were created or do you have to go into each category (or alphabetical) to see what was created? Also if you have to go that route it would be nice to have the newest ones listed first.
