While using my Nuvi 350 on a trip through rural Illinois today, I noticed that the many of the highways I traveled had lost their street names. These were 2 and 4 lane highways that had their names on the 2008 maps. Now they are showing CR-13, CR-27, etc. instead. Also odd were the roads that were both a state route and a county route. Nuvi only showed the county route number.

Well, I tried rolling back my firmware to 4.60. Then after I finished updating, I let it do its thing. After it is done it is just a white screen. I can't press anything. If I connect to the computer my computer doesn't even recognize it. I purchased this 2 weeks ago and didn't even use it on a major trip yet.Any help?

i recently was maneuvering through the screens of my garmin 200w and it just froze, is there a reset button or easy method to remove battery?

power switch does not assist either, screen completely locked up

hello i am new and would like help getting icons onto my gps. i get the POI S but cannot get the icons to go along with it. am i doing something wrong? also i am putting the poi s onto a memory card and they are taking fine, thank you

I can load the POI's into my garmin 350 and when I go to the custom poi's I do not see all the catagories that I down loaded....ie: walmarts, gas stations etc. they are in the poi folder on my computer. but they just don't show up even the icons don't appear.....What did I do wrong??

I got a GTM-20 Traffic Receiver for Christmas for my Nuvi 650. It came with a 15 month subscription. When I connected it, everything worked perfectly with the subscription date shown as March 24, 2009 (15 months after it was first installed). But suddenly, after a few months of perfect operation, it stopped working.

I recently tried to add the proximity alert file from the GPS tips, tricks and work arounds on my 660. Needless to say I could not get the process to work and kept showing my redlight alert showing on my POIs. I tried to remove the file but was unsecessful in removing off my 660(I did remove it later). I accessed the POI GPI in my garmin and tried to open it with the notebook.

I have been a big fan of Google to Garmin since it was made avaiable. Today, I was looking for a Resturant to go to for Mother's Day. When I hit the send button, the same screen appeared, after I imputed send to GPS, a new screen opened. It was the Garmin home page vertical on the screen. I found the old link on the bottom of the page. It did send the info. to my GPS.

Garmin Newbie, I uploaded the Walmart & Sam's Club POI as my Nuvi 780 reported the nearest SamsClub as being 36 miles away when there are at least 10 within that radius according to both GoogleMaps and MSN Live Maps.

I'm concerned about the short battery life (2 - 3 hours) of my nuvi 360, which is about 1 1/2 years old. The manual suggests it should be between 4 - 8 hours, "depending on usage". I would appreciate comments on other users' experience with this unit. Thanks.

What, exactly, can I expect of a bmp file that in loaded into my Garmin (model 780) I expected that the bmp image would appear in the screen. If not then what does it do?

Can anyone with the new 2009 maps tell me if the following coordinates put you on a 4 lane highway or just a field?

Is anyone aware of an national golf course POI.

I have a Nuvi 660 with North America 2009 maps loaded. I live in NC. We are traveling to Scotland in a few weeks and will be about in rental car for 2 weeks. I purchased the UK maps on SD card. Now when I arrive in Scotland and insert the card and turn on the Nuvi, will it know to use the UK maps.

Is it just me or is it the 3rd day that in My Garmin it says site upgrade in process. I wonder what they are doing.

I just received the 2009 map updates. Can someone tell me if it is necessary to uninstall the 2008 before I install the 2009 or does the 2009 overwrite the old files

I don't know why but if I roll back my Nuvi 350's firmware to 5.00 I could acquire satellites faster. I'm thinking of keeping the 5.00 firmware instead of the current 5.50.
