not seeing POI on 3D Page

Are you zoomed in? You have to zoom in to a certain level. Hit the plus icon (+) to zoom in.

I'm pretty sure I have to be zoomed to the highest level to see icons in the 3D view mode. I need to be zoomed in to either 120' or 200' while in the other display modes.

I don't know about the 680, but some models don't show any of the icons (Custom or built in) in the 3D map mode. On these models, you have to zoom in while in a 2D mode.

Thanks to all for the info. I have a feeling no POI’s in the 3d mode is what I’m going to find to be the case. I do prefer the 3d map and would like the custom poi there.

Your 680 will display custom (and regular) POIs in 3D mode when you are zoomed in at 50 (or 30) meters, That's 200 or 120 feet in American

At least with my 650, if I have a Custom POI and a Custom Icon (not a generic Garmin icon, but a 24x24 pixel .bmp icon), in Alert mode (proximity or speed) the nüvi DOESN'T have to be zoomed in to the 200ft or less level and will appear at further away zoom settings.

Also, on my nüvi 650, if I have a, for example, Pizza Hut or others, established as one of my regular Favorites with an associated chosen Garmin icon (obtained when you edit), I can see the icons when zoomed out miles (until some fall on top of each other and blend together.)

As far as the normal ~6 million POIs in the Garman, as with you, I can't see them until I zoom in to mostly 200 and 120 (sometimes 300 but it's not consistent and I don't have an explanation why.)
