OK, one more question.....How do I load the alerts for the POI's that I have loaded into my nuvi 350? I can listen to them but don't see how to attatch them......

I have a nuvi 200w. Ok, I'm sitting still in one place, not moving and in 3D mode. The screen is slowly spinning and every now and then registers a speed of up to 3mph. What is going on? Its cloudy and raining off and on here. Could the weather be messing with it? I also just got the 2009 update put on it. Could that have something to do with it?

I just noticed that there is a new firmware update for nuvi 660 (nuvi 660, Ver. 4.40, as of May 05, 2008)

Today I noticed black square dots located along the roads on my map. What are they and where can I find a list that shows what all the different icons are....the ones I down loaded I know but there are a lot of Icons that I don't have a clue what they mean. There must be a graphic some where that explains what they are.......

I used POIloader v2.4.2 to install several POI Factory files like CostcoGas and Sam's. I originally loaded them to a SD card but then the Nuvi 200 didn't find them so I loaded them directly to the unit. Still nothing. The POI Loader was happy but I'm not :>(

Just in case someone is looking to upgrade their GPS - Costco in Canada has new Garmin Nuvi 7670's on for $389.99 from the 12th to the 25th of May. Fantastic buy - best I could find both North and South of the border. I ordered one on Monday morning and got it Tuesday afternoon - very nice unit.

Option is set to "faster time" for routing, but the garmin does not seem to take into account that some highways (not freeways) go through some downtown areas. On a recent trip, garmin took me off freeway two exits earlier and routed me through downtown of the local city. On another trip, it's trying to do that again when it finds a local 2-lane highway instead of using freeways.

I am flying into San Jose Costa Rica for Labor Day and will be driving out to the Pacific Coast. Where can I get Nuvi Maps that will make my life much easier (and safer).

I am preparing for a trip to Texas, and found out that a nuvi update is available, 5.50.

Has anyone updated to this release? Are there any issues? I would hate to apply this update and find out that it renders my Nuvi inoperable before my trip.

Tried to download sound files for POI's and place them in my POI folder to load in the Nuvi 780, However, Media Player comandeers the sound file when I try to save to file from this site, I can't get it to stop, They are currently saved in media player playlist and I don't have a clue how to get them in the folder to load.

I recently switched from a Garmin 660 to a Garmin 780 (I lost the old one). I seem to recall that the 660 showed a map of the satellites that had been acquired. Can I expect the same of the 7xx series from Garmin?

Yesterday, while driving around town, suddenly the Nuvi 660 gave a message that it was downloading bluetooth update. There was a progress bar and after about 2 minutes it was done. How did this occur? Was it downloaded from the satellite? I did note easy and successful pairing with my phone afterwards.

I bought a Nuvi 350 over a year ago at Best Buy, and against my better judgement bought the 4 year service plan for an additional $53. Well it paid of in spades today!!

I have another question. I named my Nuvi 680, “Edna” because her voice reminds me of Edna on the Incredibles when she says “Recalculating”.

Is it possible to down load Sean Connery’s voice?

Not really a bug, but I updated the firmware on my C330.

When I first turned it on after updating, it listed the Max Speed at 225mph - I didn't know my Chrysler Pacifica could hit those speeds.

I cleared it and it works perfectly.

Ok I'm new to all this GPS stuff so I'm sorry if this has been answered already. I've searched through here but I can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for. I'm trying to do this update: map update 2009.exe. But I keep getting a message that says I don't have enough free space and that I need an additional 42 MB to continue. What do I need to do?

I have a Garmin Street Pilot 7200. I was wondering if there is any way I can receive prompts from my GPS to tell me that I am entering a new state/province/territory. Would it be an option to activate in my GPS or would I need an external aid or product to do this?

Is there a way to simulate a route, without using your current location as the starting point?

Like, entering a starting and ending coordinates/ address, to simulate a route.
