When I placed the I-95 speed alerts into the Garmin POI loader, it states that the default speed is 95MPH

I changed the number to 70, Exactly what does this setting do?

Defaulted to 90 automatically and loaded by the express method would get us all tickets if we relied on it, wouldn't it?

I don't understand this setting or how the distance in feet versus the speed would be better?

Is it possible to rearrange the standard menu categories on the Nuvi 760 so that the most used ones appear at the beginning of the list.

I'm so confused, I think my head's going to explode.

I travel for a living and make multiple stops in various cities in a region. To date, I would simply find an address on a city-map and 'guess' which stop was closest to the next one. It worked, but was very cumbersome.

Hi all. Recently purchase the Nuvi 660 ( my first GPS ) which I have now used for a trip to Orlando, Fl. I have several issues, that I discovered on the trip and I am curious if other more experienced owners have had similar problems and found work arounds. The first problem is that it always seems to pick the most traveled (congested) routes, instead of quicker less congested routes.

I've downloaded my POIs into my Nuvi and now what do I have to do to get my Nuvi to recognize them? Is there a setting on my Nuvi that I have to select or is it done automatically? Please help...

I have a backup of my Nuvi 750 that I made when it had the 2008 maps installed. Now that I have updated to 2009 maps (and made another backup), is it possible to swap the 2008 or 2009 maps into the Nuvi at will?

I'm trying to find a way to verify the differences I'm noticing between the two versions.

Garmin 2720 and MapSource 2009 is difficult enough to figure out how to use. I downloaded the POI downloader and managed to download the POI.gpi file to a folder on my hard drive. Then I find out the Garmin POI downloader doesn't recognize gpi files in order to download to my 2720.

I am trying to load additional POI to 250W but do not want to delet the one already in the GPS. I tried to look for POI file in the GPS by connecting it to the PC but cound't find it. is there a way to download what already in the GPS and add more? SO factory installed plus some more?

After using my car navigation GPS on my new 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid I really miss my Garmin. I mean I still have it, but it seems silly to have two running in the car. But for ease of use and all the bells and whistles....It's Garmin hands down! It will definitely go to use in my second car. Why don't these car makers get on board?

Question for any owners of the nuvi 7xx series.

Hi, I have a two week old Nuvi 780 that has a file named clm.nvm that is 516 megs in size. This is after running scandisk on it as per the Garmin techs.

Has anybody been able to get onto the my garmin site recently. i just got my nuvi 680 and was trying to register for 2 days now and it just says its under constuction. Anyone know how long its been like this and how long it might last?

SIRF came out with a new fix a few months ago that speeds up the acquisition of the satellites dramatically. Does my nuvi660 have this fix?

I was wondering if anyone else out there thinks that the internal speaker (volume) on the Nuvi 750 needs more volume. I realize that the FM xmitter is available, but my area has very few free FM frequencies that don't walk all over my Nuvi. I also like to listen to my satelitte radio (which also has an FM transmitter), and I can't use both at the same time.

OK, one more question.....How do I load the alerts for the POI's that I have loaded into my nuvi 350? I can listen to them but don't see how to attatch them......

I have a nuvi 200w. Ok, I'm sitting still in one place, not moving and in 3D mode. The screen is slowly spinning and every now and then registers a speed of up to 3mph. What is going on? Its cloudy and raining off and on here. Could the weather be messing with it? I also just got the 2009 update put on it. Could that have something to do with it?

Today I noticed black square dots located along the roads on my map. What are they and where can I find a list that shows what all the different icons are....the ones I down loaded I know but there are a lot of Icons that I don't have a clue what they mean. There must be a graphic some where that explains what they are.......

I used POIloader v2.4.2 to install several POI Factory files like CostcoGas and Sam's. I originally loaded them to a SD card but then the Nuvi 200 didn't find them so I loaded them directly to the unit. Still nothing. The POI Loader was happy but I'm not :>(
