Hi,

my streetpilot C340, which is 6 months' old has stopped charging from the car charger. Though I can charge it from the computer with USB cable.

Can somebody advise what could have gone wrong and how can I rectify it?

I just experienced a sudden change in the display on my Nuvi 260W. It went from light to dark at dusk. Is there a setting that controls this change? I did not like the dark screen, and would prefer to keep it looking the way it does in the daytime.

I've read comments about the 3.4 version firmware for Nuvi 200 has a hidden tracking feature.

I would like to try this on my wife's recently purchased nuvi 260. What version of the firmware do I need?

According to the post below do I need version 3.40? can I use the nuvi 200 3.4 version or do I need the nuv260 version? Not sure if old Nuvi 200 firmware works on all nuvi 2XX models.

I've read where changing the output on the nüvi from "headphone" to "line out" increases the volume and quality of the signal when running through a cassette adapter.

I went into the diagnostic screens and changed the setting to "line out" but, when I go back to the diagnostic screens, it's always set to "headphone" again. How does one go about changing this setting and making it stick?

Is anyone aware on how POIs can be loaded on a SD Card which then should be used on Garmin Streetpilot C330?
I am not even sure whether C330 Supports POIs through SD Card.
I'll highly appreciate if someone can shed some light on this.

I have now taken several trips using my Nuvi 200 and I can safely say waht I have said all this time. My nuvi 200 hates the interstate. It doesn't matter if the trip is inside a city or across the state, my unit just doesn't want to stay on the interstate, even when it knows the time is shorter.

My settings are shortest time and I did not tell it to avoid the highways.

I've noticed a bug with my Garmin 660 when I get a Traffic Alert - I'm then unable to view the "Turn-by-Turn" screens. All it does (if I push the "Turn in..." button) is bring-up the Traffic info. If the Traffic Alert then goes away, the screen just flashes and goes back to the Map View immediately.

I have a nuvi 660. Every time I try to enter a telephone number on a favorite, my bluetooth stops working. Is there a trick to it?

Is there any way to clear a POI/proximity alert on a nuvi 650?

I just got my Nuvi 650. When I tried to load several vehicle files it said I did not have enough room.

I bought a 2 Gig SD card for it. I tried moving the Vehicle folder to it but then when I tried to change vehicles it did not list them.

What files can you put on the SD card?

I went and marked a few locations today as favorites with my new garmin nuvi 760. I was expecting later to be able to read the lat/long data and post it- but for the life of me - I cant figure out how now. Any pointers?

Is it possible to overlay a city's cycle path system on the existing map of a Nuvi?

I have four separate poi lists that i would like to load, but the garmin 750 i'm using only "remembers" the latest one i loaded. Anyone else have this problem and know how to correct it. I'm assuming the device allows you to download several different spreadsheets of coordinates.

Anybody having problems with the MP3 player?
When scrolling through songs on the MP3 player, intermittently the GPS will turn itself off.
Does it with a full charge on the battery or even when plugged in.
I had a 750 and it did it. I exchanged it for a 760 and it does the same thing.

I just got a handful of POIs installed successfully and I went out to run some errands and was curious to see how they pop up however nothing showed. For instance, I had to run to Home Depot (had the HD POIs installed) but nothing every came up. I drove by Walmart and the walmart POI didnt pop up.

What did I do wrong? Is there a setting on my Nuvi 350 that I have to turn them on or something?

Does anyone wish to give a newbie some quick tips when creating a csv file. I enter each line manually after I locate the coordinates.This seems like a lot of work and something that my computer should be able to handle.I've been experimenting with the COPY/PASTE function and found some files easier to put together. Any other tips???

I've been using my nuvi 660 for only a few months now. I have downloaded some POI's and saved many gps coordinate locations to my "favorites". I can't find any info about how much built in memory my unit has. If I select an additional file to download that exceeds my units memory will it partially download, not download at all, or erase some of my current data?

Once I already have the POI's in the unit (Garmin 7200), is there a way to set the alert setting per poi? Say truck stops 3miles, Rest Areas 2miles, without have to go back and set them in poi loader?

I have installed Rest Stop POIs and set my Nuvi 260W to sound alerts. Now, two questions:

(1) Does the proximity alert go on automatically as I am driving on a road that has rest stops?

(2) WHow do I establish where the next rest stop is going to be while I am driving along the route (i.e., where and how far away is the rest stop from where I am currently on the road)?

I would appreciate a narrative that will explain in some detail how one make use of a via point while following the Nuvi 260w GPS's instructions to a destination. Right now I do not understand the difference between a VIA point and a selection of a rest stop chosen from the POIs that are in my custom folder. Many thanks.
