As a new owner of a 760 I have been experimenting with routes. It seems that the only way I can force the 760 to use a particular road is to set a via point. But then I have a flag on the display and it announces "approaching Smith road" when I'm already on Smith road.

Hello! I'm a new Nuvi 660 owner and am trying to figure out exactly how everything works. I've used POI Loader to load all the Sam's Club locations(just for fun). I'm wondering if there is a way to search the custom POIs at the same time as I'm searching the pre-loaded POIs.

I made my first POI using Google Earth for the coordinates then added alot of info using Excel like the address and phone number but when I load it to my Garmin Nuvi 200, it has the info, but not the "Go" button. Can someone tell me what I did wrong?

I have a Garmin 780 and I love the unit. Last week on a vacation trip to Colorado, I never received audible notification of traffic hazads that I approched. I know that the MSN device is working because of other information that MSN is providing to the 780.

Is there a problem with MSN Traffice Alert or do I need to change a setting?

I downloaded some waypoints to my unti via google maps. When I click on them thru "my locations" then click on view map it shows the name of my waypoint in a double text or text with a shadow behind it. ANyone know what this might be?

Hey quick question I have the NT 2009 map on the nuvi 350 but I'm going to recieve a nuvi 360 soon, can I transfer the map over? Also I'm going to get a cassette adapter. Do you guy prefer a specific brand?

I have downloaded the Garmin POI Loader, but when I click on it to open it, it will not open up.I have uninstalled and reinstalled it twice. No luck. I have the Windows Vista OS. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I wonder how Navteq verifies submissions sent in by users. I sent in a correction in December and they responded to my submission a couple days ago stating nothing will be done and it has been determined their database is correct. Hmmmm, considering the road that isn't listed in Mapsource and shows up on my Nuvi as not being there is indeed there and has been for two years.

OK. I'm new to this GPS POI file thing. I've figured out how to load the POI files in my Garmin 260W, but how do you attach the Icon files to a database? For example I just downloaded the Starbucks files and icon.

I recently bought a Nuvi 770 for both personal and business use. I drive a Tow Truck and was wondering if there are any programs i can load up on my NUVI to advise me of commercial truck routes. I know one of my other drivers uses a garmin street pilot and i believe that unit has a truck feature in it and is pretty good with the truck routes. Any help with this will be greatly appriciated.

My Nuvi 750 will display the posted speed limit on major roads. I would say it is 95%+ right most of the time. It is fun to look at but can you do anything with it?

I did this by accident. I am trying to download the 2009 update and it keeps telling me I don't have enough space. What am I doing wrong??????????

I'm not really new to this whole poi and Garmin thing, but I am new to this Mobile XT. I purchased this mobile XT for my Pocket PC. On garmins website, it says you can use Garmin POI loader to load custom POI's. So.. I downloaded the rest area POI from here, and loaded it with Garmin POI loader. For my settings, I asked it to notify me within 4000 feet. Well, where do I access these POI's?

I recently played a round of golf at a course that had GPS units in their powercarts. GREAT feature! It told you the distance left to the pin, distance or your drive. Couple other goodies like info items for slope of the green, etc.

I just loaded some custom poi's . where to can't find them .I don't see any extra tab bar in street pilot c340

I had to take a trip to Birmingham this past weekend. The posted speed limit on I-65 is 70. I set my cruise at 70 and went on my merry way. At least 70% of the traffic I came across had to have been doing between 80 and 90 MPH. Most of them were full-size pickups and SUVs. There were only a few old fogies like me that were trying to maintain a legal rate of speed.

I ordered the nuvi 350 along with a garmin beanbag friction mount, the item are not ship until June 19. I have a Motorola rarz with Bluetooth capability, should I change the nuvi 350 with a 360. I know the only different is Bluetooth function. I want to know is it worth it? How is the microphone quality and is the firmware any bad?
