Yes
Let's assume you loaded them correctly. Icons for custom POIs are usually not viewable except when zoomed in to one of the two tightest zoom levels and may, depending on the model, require that you are in 2D mode (not 3D). Also, I think most people, at such time as they are ready to look for a campground, would go to Extras/Custom-POIs/Campgrounds and look for the ones at the top of the list -- those will be the closest. Then, you can choose to view them individually on the map and/or route to them.
Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.
