Can anyone tell me why, when I turn off my 885T and store it's case, it sometimes looses battery life overnight and other times it will last for weeks?

Here is another elementary question. I have uploaded routes from Mapsource to my GPS, and it works great. However, I tried to upload waypoints, and Mapsource says the data was successfully transferred, but I don't know where to find it on my unit. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I tried to upgrade to a newer map and have now RUINED my nuvi 200w!

I 'copied' my map files before I began.

Now that my attempt at upgrading failed, I am trying to 'paste' my original files back onto my nuvi but now it is saying that I do NOT have enough space!

How is that possible when I just took the files OFF of the exact same unit?

MAN. I hope someone can help me, I have a 265wt. I am having problems with the ecoroute. When I turn the unit off after I get out of my car for the night, when I return to turn it on the next day, my ecoroute has done some pretty serious traveling while I slept.

My Nuvi 360 has the 2008 maps installed. I have the 2010 maps both in a SD card and in the mapSource in my PC. As I try to tranfer the maps to the device, it reads that there is insufficient memory. Please help.

I hope this hasn't been asked and answered. I went through the FAQs and searched the forum, but I may well have missed it.

Is it possible to load the POI's and have the icon show on the map without an alert? I have loaded the POI's with the Garmin POI loader and disabled alerts but I don't see the icons on the map.

When I checked my 250W it indicated it had virtually no spare space left is this normal.It has been up dated to 2009 maps last year,it works well but I can't load anything in to it,(could be also I don't know what I am doing.)

I downloaded the red light camera, truck stops, rest areas and other downloads.
Will they pop up as an alert when i get close to them? If not how do i set them as alerts?

I downloaded the red camera download, and rest area. All i see in my POI is the rest area. After that i downloaded the LOW clearance download. Once i checked my POI on my garmin nuvi 750, i didn't see the rest area anymore, just the low clearance.
What is the problem?? Can the garmin only have one type of download on it?

I just subscribed to this website. So downloaded the red light cameras and my question is why can i not find the files on my garmin? I also downloaded the low clearance file, and i could find it under POI's. But not the red light cameras. Will they still work? Is this a problem, or is this normal?

I understand that if I download a POI.CSV file and a mp3 file and put them in the same directory on my computer and then use POI loader, every time a POI is approached the mp3 will be played. I presume this is how things work.

If the above is correct, what happens if I do the same thing with a POI.gpx file? Or does the gpx file have sounds built in?

I am learning a lot. When I found a POI on this site that I wanted and went to its page I saw two buttons one that says Garmin CSU and the other TomTom OU2. I have searched the site to see what CSU means and will this POI file work with my 255W, however, I get no search results for CSU.

Can someone enlighten me about CSU and can the file be used on my 255w?

Using NUVI 885, I loaded several POI files, red light, speed camera, McDonalds, Walmart & Rest stops. Everything loads into the garmin, but I can only see (Extras/Custom POIs) the red light and speed camera POI's. The POI loader does shows the points have added. Anybody have a suggestion as to what the problem is?

I have a Nuvi 660 and I was checking for updates today and I see there is a firmware update for GTMxx Traffic Receivers. I’m not sure if I need that for my unit. In the past, my Nuvi continued to loose traffic coverage. Garmin did an absolutely incredible job with customer service on this and they tested my unit personally and communicated each day with me.

At what level do the Icons start to show up on the 660 ?
